So a significant event, I would suggest, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in the United Arab Emerates. It will be interesting to see if any new Partners for CyanConnode eventually progress from this presentation.

Thank you both for the links and thanks 2dopey for the Richard Penny report.

Richard's view point about the Indian market not being fully recognised in the CyanConnode share-price and about the " ..... smart meters already awarded to prime bidders and these order should soon filter down to competitively well-position sub-contractors such as CyanConnode " was reiterated in the latest Zeus report, on 2nd April, 2024, which commented - " We expect these large numbers of Sactioned and Awarded meters to lead to significant sub-contracts for CyanConnode over the coming quarters, supported by its high win ratio in India of approximately 25% by volume."

So increased positive news-flow, should stimulate CyanConnode's share price. The lack of news-flow is the key, in my opinion.

I remember some years ago, there was a discussion much like the one that has been discussed on this bb over the last 3 weeks or so, that I decided to contact the Company over and relay that reply to the bb. So far, so good.

When I replied back to the bb, the response from one poster in particular, was that I was a liar and that I had not received an e/mail from the Company at all. It is good to see that the e/mail information received today, has not had any similar comment's.

I think tonyj, you will find the PLC reference on this website. But there are some anomalies within the report, dated April 8th, 2024.

- L&T Electrical and Automation is mentioned, but they were bought by Schneider Electric during 2017/2018, I seem to remember. The L&T Electrical and Automation website is still available, but shows no news posted since 2017/2018.

- There are also some Chinese companies shown that may not be relevant or acceptable, at this particular time.

- PLC is a tricky one. PLC has limitations on performance, has all solutions do, but must be expensive to provide, by the very nature of its name. A cheaper option if you have an installed infrastructure, but expensive if you have to provide the pylons or lay the cables.

Much more competitively priced to provide the RF Gateways across difficult terrain.

All in my opinion, of course.

Thank you for the extensive list of meter manufactureres. I haven't checked fully, but do you know if they have all qualified for the REC Empanelment List, which I understand is the poole of qualified meter manufacturers that the various AMISP's are using.

There are some on the list that you posted, that I know from memory are on the REC list, but there are some that I do not recognize.

The main winner from what I can make out is Himachal Pradesh which had 9,19,092 ( 919,092 ) smart meters Awarded so far this month, from a total of 28,00,945 ( 2,800,945 ) that have already been Sanctioned.

Well done Himachal Pradesh.

The total number Sanctioned remains the same, at 22,22,64,571 ( 222,264,571 ). The total number Awarded goes up to 11,02,59,425 ( 110,259,425 ) and the total number of smart meters installed goes up to 1,04,60,295 ( 10,460,295 ).

I disagree with your point about " ..... naievity ..... " As a share-holder I am now aware, through this report, more of what is involved and what CyanConnode are still battling with. I am encouraged that the Company had the confidence to make this public.

Not naievity at all. But a good understanding of the smart meter business that CyanConnode are in and have been for a number of years. In my opinion. Others may see it differently.

And there are a few on this bb, that do see it differently. As I find out, quite regularly.

I have given my opinion on the report released on 15/03/2024, over the last three weeks or so and concentrated my replies on the overall report, while not forensically analyzing 4 specific lines in isolation, as has been happening on this particular bb.

As well as providing the original script, I also provided some comments of my own, much to the disapproval of some on this bb, it would seem.

But I did answer the particular question that you asked, to my satisfaction, over the last 3 weeks. But I won't repeat it as it may upset the neighbours.

But there are always politics involved in contract negotiations. I doubt the smart meter tenders/contracts are any different. So as far as I am concerned, as an investor, it was good to be made aware of this particular report. In my opinion.

I think this report is very honest in its content. It sets out the pros and cons of two paticular solutions, those being GPRS and RF and also highlights that " ..... not all RF solutions are created equal. The success of such projects hinges not just on the technology itself, but on the quality and reliability of the implementation."

To finish off, I do not believe this report is responsible for the share price drop. Others may have a different opinion. Lack of news has definitely come into play. Share-holders move their money around at this time of year, for different reasons, or take their money/profits out, for deposites for holidays, or other such requirements.

This may help, it may not.

....... another paragraph goes into some more detail of the politics ( my words ) involved. And as we know, there will be a certain amount of politics in all contract negotions.

I seem to remember during 2017/2018, India were " ...... tempted by lower upfront costs ..... " when they tabled the 3 multi-million electric smart meter tenders, for a total of circa 20m smart meters, for the preferred GPRS solution at the time, which didn't progress as well as it was originally thought.

It would seem that John, Heather and CyanConnode India are still fighting that concept of short-term gains and low upfront costs.

In reply to your 08:51 post this morning, genrally, it will be interesting to see if and when the existing Strategic Framework Agreement with IntelliSmart is extended or re-negotiated in the near future. CyanConnode must be coming near to that stage at some point, especially with all the contract Awards that have gone through over the last few month's or so, that need to be distributed to sub-contractors.

It would also be an advantage I feel, to CyanConnode in particular and other sub-contractors individually, if this type of Framework Agreement could be incorpotated with companies in general, in connection to the smart meter roll-out. That way individual companies will have time to get prepared and organised, with their individual sub-contractors.

Logistically, it must be a very complex programme to put together and to co-ordinate.

Thank you for sharing the information on DGVCL, it is appreciated.

I think for 100,000 Omnimesh modules that you mentioned, CyanConnode would receive more than £500k. That equates to £5 per unit, if that is what you are indicating. I estimate the value per Omnimesh module to be more than that.

But it may depend on the specification that the client wants - the terrain would need to be taken into account, when tendering for each contract and other such parameters.

A few years ago, I seem to remember the smart meter contract being negotiated seperately from the Support and Maintenance contract. Recent smart meter awards to CyanConnode have the Support and Maintenance contract as part of the overall order value - if it is given

The recent order from MonteCarlo, from January 2024, is one such case. The number of Omnimesh modules was made public, along with other contract details, the overall value was not. Makes it more difficult for the competitors to break-down the individual prices of each segment of the contract.
