....... CyanConnode's Omnimesh solutions and benefits highlighted:-
" CyanConnode's commitment to quality and its proven track record in delivering high-performance RF solutions, provide a compelling case for proritizing long-term value over short-term cost savings. By opting for a solution like Omnimesh, stakeholders can avoid the pit-falls associated with cheaper, less reliable technologies - such as increased maintenance costs, higher failure rates and the potential need for premature replacement. Further more CyanConnode's deep experience in the Indian market ensures that Omnimesh is tailored to meet the unique demands of the countr's diverse landscape and climate conditions, offering unparalleled reliability and efficiency.
" This adaptability, coupled with the company's focus on customer support and services, make Omnimesh an ideal choice for India's ambitious smart metering goals."
CyanConnode, we are told, have Omnimesh inside circa 25% of the installed electric smart meter base in India, today. So decisions are already being taken to use an alternative solution, which adds up to 75%. There may be many reasons for this - competition/alternative solution and budget are alternatives to consider.
During 2017/2018 multi-million smart meter tenders were distributed, totalling circa 20m electric smart meters, mainly for GPRS. Although many of these contracts were not completed, some were possibly never started.
At the moment circa 109m smart meters have been Awarded, with circa 94m installed, of which we understand CyanConnode has circa 25% of the meters installed, with CyanConnode Omnimesh inside.
So, the point that the report makes very well, at least for me, is that you get what you pay for. And quality, longevity of product and service, come with a premium.
As the original 20m smart meter tenders, will testify.
Good Luck all.
LTI.
