That is correct. And it is verifiable, how many CyanConnode have installed/have orders for, as they are covered by RNS's.

Whereas we do not know how the EESL projects, are going installation wise, or should I say, the EESL sub-contracted meter manufacturers, because there is no information on their projects. So you, or I or anyone else, cannot judge how successful, or not, the EESL projects are.

I do believe I gave you a figure for the installation of smart meters by CyanConnode, which is documented/verifiable, through RNS's, when you ask for it. But I did not get, in return, on the two occasions I have asked you the question, of how many verifiable/documented installations of meters/smart meters have been carried out under the EESL projects?

I seem to remember discussing this with you during August, I think. So we will have to wait and see, as usual, how/if progress is made, with this particular, proposed project.

I have mentioned this before, that I see REC and EESL as similar companies. That being procurement companies. I believe you have posted minutes of a suppliers meeting in Chandigarh, at which CyanConnode and other CyanConnode Partners were involved.

And I believe that CyanConnode and some of our other partners, are included in an REC suppliers short list. And have been on this list for some time.

But I see REC, as being more prone to advocate the use of RF technology, whereas EESL, tend to favour GPRS.

You can see the possibilities/problems/opportunities, from a very different perspective, especially, as you say, if it comes from a CyanConnode Partner. As these companies are CyanConnodes bread and butter. Or maybe even more?

Thank's for the details on the Genus projections. I have not seen them before, so very interesting and much appreciated.

I see that they mention that they are in a Group of Companies, that hold, at the minute " ........ 80% of the market share ......... " for smart meters in India. Including themselves, Genus Power, HPL Electricity and Power, Larsen&Toubro ( Electrical & Automation ) and Secure Meters. Three of which are known Partners of CyanConnode.

So the building of the Partner Infrastructure could well be/is beginning to be, well worth the effort.

Genus Power alone, is reported to have a " ..... 27% market share and installation base of 38mn units."

And as this seems to be an Annual Report, for 2017, ( December 4th, 2017 mentioned ) EESL quite rightly get a mention:-

" Recently in November 2017, company won order for 13.5 Lakh smart meters worth ~ Rs 453cr from EESL for Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Supply for this order will start from Q1 FY19." Interesting. So they have not started installing yet?

Yes, certainly very interesting that Genus Power have " ...... ~ 27mn units of meters are under tender evaluation, by various utilities and expected to be awarded over the next six months."

Maybe this is where the optimism of the Company stems from.

I remember Anil saying something along the same lines, during his media presentation, for the $11.6m order recently. Along the lines of:- " Indian utilities are issuing large Requests for Proposals, for 100k to 500k units, for smart metering solutions based on RF mesh."

Firstly, thanks for the information on the new order for Genus. Personally, if the RNS's you are referring to is the one for the $11.6 million, received on 18th September, 2018, this had no details at all within the RNS. No mention of which Tier One Metering Manufacturing Partner or the utility for which the order was/is destined.

There is no information within the two RNS's, for the $11.6m order or the $2.9m support contract, as to the identity of either the tier one manufacturer or the utility, that I can see. So this particular order, may be for a new meter manufacturing partner and a new utility.

From memory, CyanConnode have given the name of the meter manufacturing partner, within the/an order RNS, when it is public knowledge who the Partner is, as far as CyanConnode is concerned. But sometimes the meter manufacturing partner, does not want that particular piece of information to be made public, as far as the utility is concerned, at the time of the order. The utility requires confidentiality, for whatever reason.

So this looks to me, like a new order for Genus. 431,000 meters, value about GBP32,166,000 approximately, if my calculations are correct. Also, usually the meter manufacturer, will make the order public, first. With the related sub-contractors following on, afterwards, when they have been informed.

These are only my thought's. But I do not think the two are linked, for the reasons I have mentioned. But I could be wrong.

But we will have to wait and see, how/if this develops further.

A very detailed analysis of the information recently, I would think, gathered by yourself. Thank you for sharing it with us, as it is much appreciated.

From the information you have gathered/provided, it certainly looks as though production is being increased, in readiness for the anticipated roll-out. And the production facilities, will now, hopefully, get the recognition within the CyanConnode infrastructure, as the asset they are, which I do not feel the market has fully appreciated.

The total CyanConnode infrastructure, has taken many years to develop and build and is probably one of the many reasons why many of the Companies who have aligned themselves with CyanConnode, over the years, have done so.

That is re-assuring to know that you have received confirmation, on those few points.

I know we should not be surprised, but it would not surprise me if the " Reverse Auction " was re-introduced at some stage, as I think you have indicated for " ....... the very same meter contracts will be re-tendered ......... " I still have not worked out what the purpose of this type of tender/auction is, as it is the first time I personally, have heard the term used.

Unless it is for the sole purpose of screwing the price down, one last time. As it seems to be.

No doubt we will have to wait and see if there is any re-positioning of the " ..... foot in two camps ....... " approach, should that shift in emphasis take place. And how long that will take. EESL tabled a GPRS specific tender originally and there was some introduction/mention of RF, on a later tender. But I do not believe that all projects will be either GPRS or for that matter, RF.

As I indicated on the 10 million pre-paid meter tender, neither Smart, GPRS or RF, was mentioned in the report I posted. So there may be/will be projects that are not strategically, regionally or profitability viable, at this particular time, for RF projects. Unless they want to up the budgets?

But some of the villages, in the early projects, will be thankful just to get electricity for a light-bulb. That, to them, will be progress

If you click on the " 1 million smart meters " at the bottom of your post Vas, you will come to another report on Haryana, which does indicate a GPRS involvement.

The report also goes on to mention that:- " EESL is currently implementing the Smart Meter National Programme ( SMNP ) with an aim to replace 250 million conventional meters, with smart meters."

I doubt that EESL are looking to replace all 250 million meters, with GPRS specific only meters. And it could be argued that GPRS meters may not be all that smart, because of the problems with call-drops, security and data transfer.

As one Indian business-man, mentioned in a report I posted recently, on the telecommunications problems in India, " The telephone lines were never designed for data. They were designed for voice."

Interesting times ahead, I feel.

I agree and if you listen to Anil's presentation, about the new $11.6m order from India, he gives an indication of the opportunities that may present themselves in India, in the near/mid term.

A few " bullet points " from the presentation video, but the complete video presentation gives a better indication of the overall opportunities in India, with the Omnimesh solution.

- Smart metering continues to be a key focus for Government and utilities in India.

- The number of opportunities and scale of deployments increasing.

- The demand for standards-based smart metering solutions is growing.

- The Ministry of Power, through institutions such as National Smart Grid Mission and Bureau of Indian Standards, have created standards for metering, the communication network and AMI solutions.

- The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, Mr. RK Singh, announced that in the next three years metering will go smart pre-paid.

- CyanConnode is well placed to meet these requirements with its Omnimesh smart metering solution.

- Indian utilities are issuing large Request for Proposals, for 100k to 500k units, for smart metering solutions, based on RF mesh technology.

- The Company is actively working on a pipeline of US$100 million in India and a number of these opportunities are at the final stages.

So it would seem that the size of the Request for Proposals, is growing. And many of them allow for the provision of RF technology.

We must be coming very near now, to the Trading Update, when we should be given an indication on how things have progressed since the summer and how the Company may see progress going towards the end of the year.

No Trading Updates, issued in 2014. Three so far in 2018. We have had 2 Thursday's and a Tuesday so far this year, positioned towards the first 2 weeks of the month in question. We are, I think, anticipating the next month will be October. So time will tell.

As you say Multi, waiting for clarity on funding, how much is actually needed and how it will be structured.

Multi and Pedro, it is no wonder the MM's are finding it difficult to get shares. Good luck with your investment both and all share-holders. I wish you well.

And it does confirm, in the July 2018 Trading Update:- " During the period, the Company announced a US$3.2m order, from L&T, for Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Ltd., ( " MPWZ ") which is the largest government utility project, on RF mesh technology, to date. Delivery of this contract is commencing this month, with the majority of hardware expected to be delivered during 2018."

So, as you have indicated, a proportion of the contract may well be recognized in this financial year.

I also remember someone saying about " ...... Karnataka, Mysore being the largest RF project, that Cyan(Connode) have received ....... " at one time. It seems as though the contracts are getting bigger.

Who was it that indicated that would probably happen?
