CyanConnode's technology is delivered in a phased approach and each stage of the SAT requires the Company's partner and/or customer, to determine whether their requirements have been met."

The report continues:-

" In addition to the above orders currently held by the Company, it has a large pipeline of opportunities, in territories such as Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Ghana, that it is working on, with partners. These opportunities are at various stages of completion."

Thank you for the additional information. It is appreciated. Both Genus and Landis&Gyr, are known Partners of CyanConnode. But from memory, CyanConnode have not done a project in India, with L&G, that I can remember. So " Consortium " wise Genus would be the main Partner, I would think, that we would be Partnering.

Adya Smart Metering, is another unknown to me. I have provided some information.

Some suggested 7p, you have said you were one. Some suggested 8p. Some have been suggesting a Placing through the Summer. The Company got through to October/November.

But the Company has told us on more than one occasion, over the last few month's, that a Placing was going needed. Now its' happened. As we were told.

It is always very easy, to pass comment and judge a Company, on what has happened in the past. Investors invest, on what they envisage will happen to a Company, in the future.

At least I do.

Having had time to look at the two REC tenders during the day, I note that the 9.25 Lakh ( 925,000 ) " .... smart pre-paid electric meters with communication module for rural and urban areas ........ " may not all be " smart." Because, as with the EESL 10m pre-paid meter tender, there may be areas, within the " .... rural and urban areas ....... " that may not be RFable or GPRSable. If you know what I mean.

But what makes this tender seem different, is the introduction of a pre-paid meter, " ....... with communication module for rural and urban areas ....... " That is something new to me. And very interesting.

Another thing I noticed, when clicking onto the Corrigendum PDF, on the REC tender information you provided, is that the times of the pre-bid meetings had changed.

The pre-bid meeting for the 9.25 Lakh smart pre-paid meters, was originally scheduled for 27/09/2018, at 15:00 hours. The pre-bid meeting for the 2 x 1 Lakh ( 100,000 = 200,000 total ) smart electric meters, also fitted " ...... with communications module ...... " was originally scheduled for 27/09/2018 at 12:00 hours.

The pre-bid meeting times, for both tenders, were rescheduled so that they happened on the same day, but interestingly, at the same time. 27/09/2018 at 11:00 hours.

Could be something. Maybe nothing. But it is interesting.

Thank you for the REC tender information, it is appreciated. And I am glad you recalled the other REC information. It was from 2017, as we know and 20m, although a very nice potential order for someone, over a 2 year time scale, I think, is a big ask for anyone.

Still, we will have to wait and see the outcome.

The Jammu and Kashmir projects, were mentioned in the ISGF Bulletin, September issue, under the New Tenders section and has a submission date of 18th October, 2018. So could be the same tender/project. But now that we possibly know that these are REC project's, from your tender information, it may take on a different aspect.

It would help, if they conveyed the solution required for the tenders ( RF/GPRS/etc.,) but they don't.

I believe I said " And there is some doubt, whether GPRS can be considered truly " Smart." It is known within the industry, that RF is a 2-way communication and a private, secure, closed platform. GPRS is a one-way, open public platform. But I do not believe that is " Smart."

Hence the reluctance of some meter manufacturers to decline to tender for one of the tenders, siting " ...... concerns on product safety and tariff regulations."

There were also concerns, within the same report, dated March 2018, of the number of meters within a single tender:- " Typically, it takes a year to install maximum 500,000 to 1 million meters. Here UP alone has an order of 10 million pre-paid meters and 5 million smart meters. First servicing of a smart meter is due in three years from the day of packaging. How will they install so many meters, especially when there are so many replacements also to be done?"

This is not me or anyone else on this bb, highlighting problems that do not exist. These are genuine problems, that are being raised by officials, connected with the meter roll-out, in Uttar Pradesh.

That's right. There were no bones. Just some relative/relevant information on how the Company is progressing. And we are progressing.

" A term of association." Really? As I have said, I have never come across it at the Company Presentations I have been too, over the years.

I am sure that EESL " ..... would be pleased to work with CC," But it is good that you have had official confirmation of that piece of news.

Whenever they decide to go truly " Smart," as the majority of there projects are not, at the moment, I can recommend a Company, that will be able to help them out, with their projects.

This Company is well known in India, with a well established infrastructure of Partners.

Not getting depressed about EESL, in the slightest. And not for the first time, you seem to be positioning yourself with a foot in two camps, with your comment " ..... they could use CC at some stage."

I am not surprised, that you have eventually come around to that way of thinking.

There are RF projects available, in India, more suitable for CyanConnode's technology. And the comment more recently, that all meters will become smart pre-paid, in three years, is also encouraging. If they stick to the true definition of " smart."

And there is some doubt, whether GPRS, can be considered truly " smart."
