...... and the Institutional Framework structure of the NSGM, involved with the smart meter/smart grid development and deployment, gives some idea of the pathway, through various departments, that a project may have to take before it gains approval.

Many of the departments and organisations we may already be aware of:- The Ministry of Power, PowerGrid, EESL, POSOCO, REC, CEA, etc., are all part of the NSGM Institutional Framework, including the various sub-committees.

From the ISGF Knowledge Portal report, concerning the NSGM:-

National Smart Grid Mission.

" National Smart Grid Mission ( NSGM ) was established in the Indian Power sector to plan and monitor the implementation of policies and programmes related to Smart Grid activities in India. It's an institutional mechanism for planning, monitoring and implementation of policies and programs related to Smart Grid activities. NSGM is housed under Ministry of Power ( MoP ) considering the fact that most of the prominent stakeholders ( DISCOMS, Regulators, Electrical manufactures, Central Electricity Authority, etc.) for Smart Grid are associated with MoP. Other concerned Ministries like Ministry of New and Renewable Energy ( MNRE ), Ministry of Urban Development ( MoUD ) and Ministry of Heavy Industry ( MoHI ) are also associated with the Mission."

Objective of NSGM.

" National Smart Grid Mission was launched with the objective to address key issues of Smart Grid Initiatives on a large scale in the country and to make the Indian Power infrastructure cost effective, responsive and reliable. A 20 year perspective plan for Integrated inter-regional, inter-state and intra-state transmission network, for the country as a whole, has been formulated. This will be a crucial backbone for the vision of 24/7 power for all homes in India."

Neither IntelliSmart or the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund ( NIIF ) are mentioned in the NSGM structure report, but they may come under the brief of EESL.

A very encouraging announcement today, concerning CyanConnodes Strategic Alliance with North American based Company, Smart Energy Water, which has a global reach to 22 countries.

It will also be interesting to see how this develops, as there are a few target countries that both companies have in common.

....... projects in Chandigarh ( Sub Div-5 ), Rajasthan, Chandigarh ( Complete City excluding Sub Div-5 ), Odisha and Jharkhand, only 2 are progressing at the moment. The project in Chandigarh ( Sub Div-5 ) and the project in Rajasthan, for JVVNL.

- Chandigarh - ( Complete City Excl. Sub Div-5 ) - Project likely to be shelved in light of privatization for CED licence area.
- Odisha - OPTCL revised DPR is under evaluation. Bid opening resheduled to 6th May, 2021.
- JBVNL - Proposed revised DPR and is under evaluation.

So 2 out of the 5 projects, at the moment, under NSGM, are progressing, with one of them being JVVNL.

So, progress for JVVNL, however you bend it.

...... is among 5 smart grid projects, under the National Smart Grid Mission ( NSGM ). The report, published in the TND India on 14th April, 2021, details the steady progress that has been made so far, concerning the JVVNL project.

" In February 2021, as many as 49,000 smart meters were supplied to JVVNL. This implies that a healthy rollout can be expected in the coming months."

Also within the report, it details the monetary assistance that the GoI made available during March 2021, as part of the overall package to the JVVNL project.

" The smart grid project is being implemented by state power discom Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd ( JVVNL ) in six towns of Baran, Bharatpur, Bundi, Dholpur, Jhalawar and Karauli districts. It will cover 1.5 lakh consumers."

As I mentioned on Wednesday, the information on various initiatives was released by the Prime Ministers Office, on the UK/India Trade Deal. We, specifically as share-holders of CyanConnode, should wait for details to be released by CyanConnode via RNS, on any relevant new contracts.

I was wondering how long it would be, before CyanConnode advertised for the required, qualified personnel. But good to see the opportunities opening up.

Very encouraging indeed, Inthetin.

As is highlighted by Hardman&Co and as you have mentioned, there are 514,000 approximate modules yet to be shipped and have yet to be fully financially recognized.

With the orders already being shipped and recognized, the outstanding orders for delivery and recognition, are a good future contributor to the CyanConnode bank-balance, while CyanConnode are optimistically in discussions, for future orders.
