I guess for me it started raising questions as to what will happen in the UK whenever a vaccine is made available.

I'm rather glad we are not the first to press ahead with vaccinations of all healthcare workers (eg Russia).

China's Central Military Commission approved the use of the vaccine by the military on June 25 for a period of one year, CanSino said in a filing. The vaccine candidate was developed jointly by CanSino and the Beijing Institute of Biotechnology in the Academy of Military Medical Sciences.

"The Ad5-nCoV is currently limited to military use only and its use cannot be expanded to a broader vaccination range without the approval of the Logistics Support Department," CanSino said, referring to the Central Military Commission department which approved the military use of the vaccine.

It was not made clear whether it is mandatory or voluntary for military personnel. I can't seen any efficacy info either.

They have human trial testing facilities as part of the 5 Uni collaboration (they are testing the Oxford vaccine there), so they can pick up early indications of success.

There are manufacturing facilities both north and south of the border, which could be turned into part of business case Bingham spoke about for the UK to be a CoE for both research and production of vaccines. Come next year, I hope that the Government will follow through with funding.

I've not seen any reports back about the memory T-cell efficacy from any of the vaccines in trials - not quite sure why that it (and it could be I'm not looking in the right place). What I have seen is the the German patient ZERO has no antibodies left, and that Moderna's 2 shot CV19 vaccine lasted 13 weeks in rats.

Certainly writing to your own MP now, regardless of political ideology, may help gain support for rethinking how to approach the immunisation of those most at risk and front line workers.
