Yes, Dr Susan Hopkins on Marr this morning is very clear. Marr has a ‘swipe’ at LFTs, saying no data, immediately put in his place with facts about data being published. Dr Hopkins saying that “more than 3 in 4” LFT (Innova no doubt) positives confirmed by PCR – not picked up by Marr, useless. So Govt. know current tests around ~75% accurate! Roll on Avacta ‘super’ LFT.
Also interesting that Indian variant only being ‘investigated’, not yet considered of ‘concern’. Boz still heading off to India then.

In the scheme of things, is there a long-term strategy for humanity …?
Genetic engineering – to improve the human immune system, ‘germ line’ engineering (ethics?), stem cells (AffyXell), gene therapy, etc. Long-term research.
Vaccines – starting to look like mRNA is going to be the way forward, could be a shift in pharma research strategy in favour of these?
Treatments – more mileage here I think, for example SNG (was in) and their inhaled IFN Beta product.
But what if we needed to respond very quickly to something new and (even more) horrible …

Now we know that Affimers are brilliant (maybe the best reagents for detecting the virus?) from the work carried out and published regarding the ‘SARS-CoV-2 research ELISA Affimer® reagents’ (to be distributed by ABCAM) and the ‘Affimer-based, bead assisted mass spectrometry ("BAMSTM") SARS-CoV-2 assay’ (developed with Adeptrix and being commercialised by Bruker).
We know that more extensive CV is ongoing, probably (at least just about) completed, and someone should be checking the numbers and doing the PowerPoints.
Someone else has made the actual physical LFT, i.e. manufactured, fabricated, constructed, etc., a physical, working, mass-producible LFT – and that means investment. So, is it Mologic, or BBI, or both (or even Cytiva)? And we have ABDX (and maybe ODX and Medusa19) waiting to make our test.
So is this all going to ‘come together’ or will it all ‘fall apart’?
I will go for the former.

No, it hasn’t gone. At ~16:21 on BBC news, after R numbers, infections not down, etc., there was a brief mention of LFT’s. To summarise – BBC reported results show LFT results vs. PCR OK, Guardian reported results show not OK, problem is (says BBC) no ‘big data’ released by Govt.
So (maybe) a good story for next week – analysis of data on LFT results shows 1.0 tests (aka Innova ***) not too great, enter 2.0 tests – massive improvement in S&S, made in UK by consortium of leading UK diagnostic companies, with the support of your govt. Also, 3.0 tests in the pipeline, ready for the next variants and other new viruses, again from your govt. And that is a good thing, from your govt.

Now why would a web dev team go to so much effort to develop new pages like the above and have a ‘staging’ site at the ready? Staging sites usually being used to collect up new / revised navigation and content for larger scale ‘production’ site changes prior to putting them ‘live’ (usually overnight), i.e. a bit more than minor content changes or the odd new link or image which can be swapped in directly.
Speculation, yes, but it does look like something is about to be ‘revealed’.

Couple of relatively simple points …
Some investors have a lot more money to invest than others and, maybe, the larger investors have a longer-term perspective.
LFT sales will ensure funding and expansion of research and trial programmes for the next few years.
(Regarding deers, there were 3 in a line nose-to-tale, scientists were looking through ‘sights’ – bit like a microscope, stats guys were correct).

Speculation (possible future) - POINT Biopharma use Avacta’s pre|CISION TM FAP sensitive activation platform in place of their own canSEEK tech. This enables them to ‘leapfrog’ other companies developing radioligand based cancer treatments. This further demonstrates the potential of pre|CISION TM for cancer therapy. ‘Big Pharma' (such as Novartis) start to realise the potential of / threat from this (and Affimers for diagnostics). AVCT ‘taken out’ for £12bn / ~£40 per share (or €14bn or $16bn or ¥100bn).
