Regarding Europe, recent announcements have been quite clear about the intent to launch to our European friends.
From the business update 24/02/21 …
"As stated above, on the basis of these excellent initial data, the Group will now progress to a full clinical validation with a larger number of patient samples to CE mark the test for professional use, aiming to bring the test to market in Europe around the end of the first quarter of this year." (We did the first bit at least).

Not a comment about Sir Al’s ‘time perception’ problem, we all know about that (hope he’s getting some therapy), this is about manufacturing, distributors and OEM partners in Europe.
Let’s say, just for the sake of argument, that we licenced our Affimers to (say) Roche, would the good people of Germany buy the test? I think so. Maybe even the French. If not, license to a suitable French company – bioMérieux could use a Covid19 Antigen LFT alongside their Antibody and PCR tests, just a thought.

Matt H just spoke about extending waste water testing as part of overall 'surveillance' approach. Let's hope that's DVRG then, and they need a few more Affimers.
As an aside, tend to get a bit nervous when government talks about 'national surveillance' - in any context.

BBC R4 discussion (from ~08:10), starts with Bolton, then with Professor Neil Ferguson. Speculation (no real source or ‘hard’ data) that AZ vaccine may be less effective in preventing infection / mild disease with Indian variant, therefore transmission in community higher.

BBC/Sky – does it work with the Indian variant?
Boris (or Matt) – a) Oh, not sure, Sir Al said he was confident as it detects the S-protein and the Indian variant has one of those, Sir Al’s getting back to confirm ‘soon’.
Boris (or Matt) – b) Gadzooks, of course, Sir Al assures me he’s tested loads of Indian variants and it all works fine, and the scientists say so as well, Huzzah for the UK test.
(Note – Matt would not say ‘Gadzooks’ or ‘Huzzah’).

Judging by Boris’ demeanour and words last night I got the impression that there are significant concerns over virus mutations, notably B.1.617.2, now a ‘variant of concern’. As lockdown eases there will be considerable government effort focused on mutations and seeking answers to the key questions …
Is the mutation more transmissible?
Does the mutation avoid / evade the immune system (which has been activated by previous infection or a vaccine)?
Does the mutation result in more serious disease – is it more lethal?
Is the mutation less detectable by the current diagnostic tests (including PCR)?
Regarding that last point, we know that an updated Affimer can be created to respond to new S-protein mutations and that this would likely only require a reagent change for the LFT, which would be otherwise unchanged. Also, we may well be working with Mologic on a combined S/N-protein test.
If things go really ‘bad’, then we also have virus ‘neutralizing’ Affimers. Need to get them trialled in the human body so we have a ‘backstop’.
Best diagnostic reagent – Affimers.
Excellent LFT development partners – Mologic, Cytiva, …
Great manufacturing partners – Mologic/GAD, BBI, ABDX, ODX (?), Medusa19 (?), …
