From the 7 June RNS …
“MHRA has confirmed registration of Avacta's AffiDX® SARS-CoV-2 antigen lateral flow test allowing the Company to place the product on the market in the UK for professional use.” (Sounds good so far).
So, the test is “on the market”, so you (govt, distributor, wholesaler, etc.) can buy it. (Hmmm, not sure?).
“The product registration by the MHRA allows the Company to sell the product in the UK for professional use and the Company expects product registration from a Competent Authority within the EU to follow shortly.” For sale in UK reiterated then, and Europe ‘shortly’. (Feeling better again, except for 'shortly').
“We will continue to focus on its commercial roll-out and manufacturing scale-up to meet demand.”
My take then, AffiDX® SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Lateral Flow Test is for sale and we’re making lots. (Reassured now).
OK so far so good (except for the ‘shortly’ of course), let’s buy some tests then …
Dropping by the Avacta web site – Diagnotics – AffiDX – Contact – seems you have to send an email to affimers@avacta.com?
So, what’s an affimer thinks (say, if I were) the purchasing manager of a large Pharmacy chain? I want Covid tests, and Avacta call theirs AffiDX, where can I order the test? Shouldn’t the email be AffiDX@avacta.com, or Covid19@avacta.com? And where’s the telephone number, and who is the Sales Manager, and why are Investor enquiries on the same page, and I don’t really want a virtual tour of Wetherby and Cambridge – I just want to buy the best Covid test for my customers.

(ps, yes I know all about the Innova situation, the govt contracts, Bidstats, NDA’s, etc. – notwithstanding all that, please Avacta, just sell some tests)
