captainbob… I don't think the fundamentals are being questioned. Its whether or not CB can put together the deals to turn that potential into shareholder value. XTR's MktCap has been severed from Manicas potential for some reason hasn't it ?

This is speculation as to whether or not shareholders will see value... but it shouldn't have been so. We paid for a BFS (or was it a DFS) after we paid Auroch 12m for Manica. JN tried to sell it on to MTI (Nexus) for 18m. So why are we sitting at less than 5m MktCap ? That's the result of CBs deals allowing others to benefit. It should not have been so speculative whether or not we get shareholder value.

Would have liked some guidance on what is happening with the Moz repayments. Strange RNS saying nothing really. I hope that wasn't the promised amazing news tbh.

NicetoMichu… good post which echos my own thoughts. CB really does have to start delivering.

Still baffles me regarding Moz loan. CB doesn't promise the loan will come out of operations and NOT the parent company (XTR) but states it as fact. We didn't have 400k out of operations to lend them so how can this not be economic with the truth at best. Really annoying the way figures were thrown around.

All sounds very fishy to me...

I have often wondered if we are paying his generous salary and by so doing are subsidising work he does for CB elsewhere. I do remember CB was adamant that we keep him and pay him that salary even though he said he was cutting costs. XTR as a parent company is losing money even though Manica might be just about breaking even. Can we afford such expense considering the figures ?

Lets just hope the "good news" is not courtesy of Silberstein's creative pen.

Do people still think the excellent news alluded to will soon be announced or does that rather look like a CB deflection.

Jezzo� the finance director responsible for putting out those Chepica earnings forecasts was non other than Joel Silberstein. Guess who CB insisted we keep on as Finance director...

RTN... he is hoping to do a deal with someone that will give us 15 - 20% which by his reckoning would give us approx. �4m per year for very little risk. That would be for the open cast FB bit.

jeffry� another way of looking at it is they are losing less than they would if they held on for lower lows. There have been way too many proclamations of previous current SPs being the time to buy.

More big sells today so some people no longer believe the story. Having this week had a nibble I want to believe the story but maybe I am guilty of letting heart rule my head. At the moment I feel I have made the wrong decision but don't need to sell so will hang on for any upturn that may or may not come.. good luck all remaining holders.

Yoshie... I think it was �12m we bought it from Auroch for and we tried to sell it on to Nexus (MTI) for around 17m. The problem now as I see it is that we have basically bought something that others are beneffing from... no way we would have paid that much for so little return. Our MktCap is tied to our earning potential not what Manica is worth unless CB stops this using XTR as a vehicle for others to benefit and we sell Manica. Despite what he says his priority is not shareholder value. Just my opinion.

Shaz� a company having 100% of the interests in Manica may well have a MktCap of much more ( you say 20m.. maybe) but we have already been told that our slice will be way smaller. Manica is worth more than our MktCap today... but if we keep Manica and let others benefit in the way CB proposes then it is what it is. Our slice of any profits is going to be way smaller than the figures originally thrown around last year. CB may well be embarrassed at what happened after he appointed JN but I don't think that means his priority is to lift the SP for us now tbh.
