Yes ..it is risky to short this stock at the moment ...the last time Premier was at these levels was just before the spike upwards in early June ...Then the price of Brent Crude was below $40 dollars a barrel with a much less clear path of direction of travel ....This week Brent Crude briefly managed the dizzy heights of $46 a barrel before falling back a little ...It will be interesting to watch midweek to see if the bigger than expected drawdowns of oil in the U S A will continue ...At some point this can no longer be ignored by major investors....Lenin

Yes ... The brokers are all over the place on Premier ....at one extreme one broker is saying the value of the shares will go up five times if brought now .. while at the other extreme a broker is saying the value of the Premier shares will go down by one third if brought now ...... Keeping the faith is what is required here !!!!

I was very briefly invested in Rockhopper just over a month ago before deciding even at 7 pence to 8 pence a share this is very high risk with no clear plan of future events regarding oil in the Falklands ...As I know life is very short I pulled back out with a very minor loss.....My advice for any long suffering investor ( but it's each to their own off course ) is take the loss on the chin and try Union Jack Oil at 0.26 pence a share !!!!...Heck you may recover some or all of your losses...Why ???? Like Rockhopper they are involved in oil exploration ... Unlike Rockhopper they don't travel thousands of miles to look for the oil ...No .. in fact it's much nearer to home ..Try Wressle near S****horpe !!!!!.... Although not directly responsible for the oil discovery at Wressle they do have a 40 % stake in this site ...Unlike Rockhopper with U J O you can get a much clearer idea on the timeline for the reward for your hard earned investment with the possibility that oil may be coming out of the ground at Wressle by the beginning of November ... Although not a 100 % certainty I would rather take a chance on that than waiting to who knows when with Rockhopper !!!! 2025?????....Unlike Rockhopper they have decent financials with no debt as far as I am aware ....Unlike Rockhopper there are much more regular updates about what is going on..Now I know there are people in life who cannot except a loss in their investments in shares whatever ....But in this situation I think that is completely ridiculous to think like that ...This is my one and only message and it is only meant as advice for investors who feel they are like a bagholder with this share and abandoned by Directors who who main priority is their own financials.....

Another thing to point out is that fact that price of oil has continued it's gradual upwards climb over the last month ( though admittedly very choppy )
from from just a little over $42 dollars a barrel on the 9 th of July to almost $ 44 and a half dollars a barrel now ......The lowest point was around $20 a barrel mid May so the overall recovery has continued from this low point but just at a slower pace ...

I have been trying to research some broker forecast for the price of this share and the choice ( depending on which broker ) is either as low as 22 pence or as high as 169 pence ...!!!!...So yes a gamblers share .....I think the simplest indication is simply to watch if the higher than expected drawdown in crude oil in the USA will continue as at some point this can no longer be ignored and must provide support for the share price ..Lenin

So in simple English you are saying the B P share price could either head towards 350 pence or as low as 239 pence ...Or to put it even more simply you are saying it could go up or down from its current share price .....Err ..I am not sure if the expert forecast you make using your charts and algorithm makes anyone wiser .!!! You might as well throw a coin in the air and say heads the B P S P will go up or Tails the B P S P will go down !!!!!!!!......

I will need to wait a while to see if with hindsight buying shares today was good or bad timing .... HOWEVER ....what I can say March the 12 th the Premier Share Price was 13 p .....Today August the 6 th the price is just under 36 p. ....If you take out all the spikes and pullbacks which is normal with most shares ... to me that indicates the Premier shares are in marching in a upwards line of around 30 degrees give or take ...This same identical line was being repeated late last year and early this year before the Corona Virus / Lockdown struck etc...This is no guarentee of the future direction the share I know ..but this direction of travel for the Premier shares is much better than if you take a company like BP for example which as far as I can make out has no clear path at the moment ...Regards Lenin

Just to say many thanks for providing some information on what is an important issue ...The Motley Fool article stated break even for Premier was just under $50 dollars a barrel ..so I then wondered where they got that figure from.!!!!..But after reading the info provided I feel just a little bit less nervous holding my Premier Shares ...Regards Lenin

I have just purchased shares in Premier Oil
..What I wish to know from any investor who has good knowledge of this company what is the break even price of a barrel of oil for Premier ??? On the Motley Fool I am reading it is just under $ 50 dollars a barrel ..but from an earlier article from the Premier Chief Executive Tony Durrant he was saying the break even point is / was around the low $30 dollars a barrel ...This is a big difference ....Some one is telling a very big lie here ..and for myself or any investor I feel it is important to have the correct information so all our hard earned cash can be placed into Premier with the correct facts on this important piece of information ...I will be truly grateful for any replies from anyone on this site to this important piece of information considering the price of crude is approximately in the mid forties range now ....

Simply Wall Street have an Article on Bushveld the R O E ( return on equity ) is 29 % as compared to the average for companies of 17 % .. This bodes well for the future as companies with a low R O E are usually less attractive to investors ....

I love to read the messages on the share chat websites where people lay the ...Verbal Boot ..into one and other !!!..As a short term trader I have seen this on a number of share chat websites but on the Bushveld site this is done at the .. very highest level ...Well done every one involved for providing something entertaining to read while I have the added enjoyment of watching my recently brought Bushveld shares go up as well.!!!...Live long and prosper Bushveld Share Holders !!??

Err... please ignore my last post asking about the lack off share trades ...Had more time to do a little research on Iofina this weekend ..from what I understand August may be quite ( but who can say for sure !! ) activity should pick up again by September on improving news ....

I brought some shares for the first time on Thursday but can't help noticing Friday this company attracted so few share trades compared to other market cap companies of the same size...I just wondered if anyone who has good knowledge of this company know why this should be ????

Yes your correct on the pros and cons of short term trading....I seem to remember hearing somewhere that full time professional day traders who are successful are get the trades
right on average 60% of the time and wrong 40% off the time and off course they are just ones who are successful !!!!

Hi ..when you say weaker holders I assume you mean the ones who are not loyal to the company ..The question is does it pay to be loyal when holding shares ????...The awnser to that question is Yes in that the investor can receive rich rewards for their loyalty to the company and in a few months from now the loyal investors of U J O could end up with very large increases in the value of their holdings ...But being a loyal investor can also be a disaster if a person has for example an emotional connection to that company !!...I briefly held shares for in Premier Oil and Tullow Oil before taking. short term profits .....I watched with draw dropping amazement yesterday at the collapse in the value of these shares in these mid size companies ...It is like watching the Titanic go down from the safety of a lifeboat....taking the loyal investor holdings down.under as well.!!!!. Would I allow that to happen to my hard earned money .???? Heck not a chance !!!!...I sold my.shares in U J O yesterday placed my.profit in another company while I watch
from the sidelines to see the next direction of the shares ...I will rebuy if they go.up and except if I guess the moment wrong then that's life !!!! ..There are no.rules in holding shares.. only preferences on how each individual does these things ......

Anyone can go on any Share Chat Website in any sector and see all the usual *****y comment etc ...by those who think they have some sort of superior wisdom on such matters ..The U JO site is not anything unique in that regard ...I viewed ( with some amusement ) last week ( or before that )with guys that are supposedly from Reabold on this site ...Who will it be next week ??? Or the week after that .???..Or the next month etc...I think life's to short to be involved in such activities but each to thier own!!!! ...Adiós ...

I wish everyone well with their investments with U J O ... myself and my wife do have shares in UJO as well ...off course as you said your interest is more direct ...i e your investments in U J O ...where my interest are different where I am interested in U J O ( and I have been trying to catch up on this ... please remember I am only a recent Investor ) ...but I also find it interesting to see how all this connects to a bigger picture ...But we are all made to look at the same things from a different angle !!!!!

Are you certain you are referring to Tullow??? ...I am not bothered to recheck now but I believe their share price was collapsing during the later part of last year well before the Lockdown / Corona Virus ....

I understand the point you are making ...just that there seems to be some small cap oil and gas companies etc...who have produced some truly abysmal returns for their investors despite the periods when the price of oil has been high ....let's hope. U J O can be a shining star amongst this sector .....
