There is no more re-assurance to be had. The researched (who are still here) are content to hand over to mother nature for the duration of this flow test. The Fracc Water and additives will be mostly out of the vertical pipe by now, certainly within the next 10 days (depending on whether they started on time or (IMO) last week. Either way, what's another week between friends. The hooves of the herd started to shake the ground 3-4 days ago - they are not interested in the long term, just wanting to catch the next spike - so will be gone in 10-14 days. No point in getting caught up in any fisticuffs - just put the kettle on, and tune in twice a day (at least until we break through our previous high of 4.3p -ish). Not looking to top slice at under 5p myself (but never say never) - I'd like to top slice at 6.5 or more so I'm prepared to wait a few months more if we don't make it this time -when the JV gets announced we will get another boost and when the conventional kicks in (Jan-March) we will probably be into double figures (well before Yukon and Icewine3/4 get started).

We can drill all year round - off road drilling will be confined to winter, but the FB location (and I believe a few other locations) are hard standings near the road. We would probably not pump out (or fill) FF from a shale well during winter as the cost of keeping surface equipment and materials de-frosted would be too high - but as I see it that is the only restriction. Frozen water is our friend for conventional, but our enemy for unconventional.

Permits for the two conventional prospects are in place, Iceroads will be constructed once the temperature falls sufficiently (Nov/Dec?) and drilling by our (yet to be decided?) JV/farmout partner will start Jan/Feb 2019 - results will therefore be known by the time the thaw sets in for next year. We might have news on Yukon by then, and almost certainly the follow-up to Icewine 2V and maybe 2H will also be known. This train is about to go over the brow of the hill, and will gather momentum all the way to the terminus.

Got back from Screwfix earlier and tried to sell a few non-oil shares, paused to consider the price then clicked "accept" to be told "Market Closed" - would not have had time to buy 88e today, but reckon the sp will warm up towards the end of next week. Just hoping the other share holds up or improves on Monday.

Not likely this week, maybe next Friday. I think the penny has only recently dropped for some, specifically that the 11th June is not when results are due, it is the target date for starting the "pump-out". As the latest RNS said : "Mobilisation of equipment ........ is now in full swing and operations remain on schedule for start-up on the 11th June". The speculation will be over by the end of the month and 3D results will be due around the same time. Must get the bunting out!

Looked pretty respectable results for Q1, and better than respectable FYE - suspect Q2 will look good too. Funny old game.

Not much liquidity in this share today - maybe MM's are overstocked as this has been held down for a week or so pending news. Good time to buy but not to top-slice. SP seemed to peek in August last year so got a couple of months to go (can't remember anything happening in August to cause that, unless it was a USA rumour).

Runrummer, I only responded to S4LMO, who asked what 88e was producing. Like its partner, Burgundy Exploration, 88e is an exploration company. Jointly, they have provided evidence that there is oil in them thar slopes, and next they hope to provide evidence that the oil can be extracted commercially and for this they need evidence of flow rates. To do this they must produce oil - but this is a bye-product - the primary objective is proof that oil can be extracted commercially. In a word they need to produce "evidence". I'm unclear why you would describe 88e as an "exploratory" company, rather than ax an "explorer" - but as a moron you could hardly expect that of me. BTW your use of the word "dear" implies that I am cloven footed (wrong!) as for "girl", that's a third strike I'm afraid.

We most definately are Indiana Jones and Bear Grills rolled into one times three. An exploratory requires participation by a doctor. Stick to the smuggling.

Steve, I too suspect the UN deal has hit some turbulence but I also agree thatit would make little difference in the long term. Star has a good range of products and is slowly gaininy a solid customer base with repeat orders. My concern with a big UN order was that it would knock us off-balance buy forcing Star to introduce a tangential production line before the manufacturing & assembley line had matured. Next year we will have a more settled team and a few bob in the bank
