With and Avg of 2.4, I'm not just under water, but breathing 99% helium. We've had the wind taken out of our sails, but wind is capable of changing strength and direction quite rapidly - those who are panicking probably should not be here at all - but if you take a chill pill and not worry about things you cannot control, it will come around again. Why not set your holding for a break-even +5% sell price at X pence and forget about it until the sale confirmation hits you. (Or set half for +5% and rest at +10%). That way you'll have something to gloat about when you put the cash into something "safe".
And don't think the rest of us will not be grateful. You know it makes sense.

Volumes are low as most sellers are just paying off the credit card, having booked their holidays. I'm waiting for 6p to top slice - so I suspect it will not happen before Q4 (3D and JV's will be sorted and the details known by then). If too many nervy investors dump their holdings for 3-4p I may have to wait until Q1/2 next year - but having held since Tangerine days, what's another 6-9 months.
Quite a lot of bile lately, and today is no exception. It will all come good in the end, and if the gloom merchants are true to their word, they'll be long gone by the £1 party (by the time we get there I'll be free running, I hope).

Just addressing your misinformation issues. PB was pre-drill expertise & picking out the sweet spots. Erics role is digging the holes. Lots of research info on wiki but beware it could take away valuable posting time. On hols so may catch up later if battery lasts.

PB's theory was proved from the core samples of Icewine1. Other experts deal with fracking techniques - not saying he would not have contributed his thoughts, but others would have had the last word.

PB was a petrogeologist. He sprayed some shaving foam on a spot and said "drill here".
Eric or someone with similar skills would then manage the drill/ well project. They did not do the same job.

Seismic analysis will give us a boost soon, but hoping to see something bigger when a jv announcement comes along (Q4?). Of course there could be multiple jv deals in close succession.

Here in Pembs. Looking out to Caldy Isle from hilltop touring site. Sea like a pond, loads of these flat inflatable 'punt-like' boards in use. One guy was floating down Amroth beach in the breeze last evening, standing on his board, rod fishing as he drifted. Too far out to see whether he had a drop net in tow, but no fish caught up to then as only his paddle and feet were on the deck. Nice breeze now but off sightseeing soon, no point fretting over sp, can't envisage more than 100% rise until at least October, and it may even take an ice road to kick above 2p.

I have no idea what will happen with PB's stake. He wanted to set up a foundation so would not be surprised if a family trust exists to cover that. His main contribution was knowledge so his aims will only be fulfilled when a certain target value is reached - he wanted/mentioned $1Bn so we have a long way to go - and if he other investors in Bex are hoping for profit too then we have a lot of value to prove yet - and Bex are the junior partner in the JV.

Minor to medium I guess - but some of his pals were not short.

Oil2, being a closed company, Bex have very few, very wealthy investors - so they are not very forthcoming - do tell.

To REALLY boost the sp, he must shave it off in the foyer of BP's London HQ.

I might empathise with you on Icewine2V (but I don't) - however we have 5 times more projects slated now that we did a year ago - which by my rudimentary knowledge of mathematics, suggests that the chance of one of them being a success has moved things in our favour, greatly.
Why don't I share your view on Icewine2V ? Well, it would seem that it generally takes many attempts at a shale well to amass the data needed to "crack the code" (or "get it right") - it is a process of elimination and invention.
So far we've had 2 seasons of data collection, we may need 4 or 5 (who knows until we get there). Only the last attempt will be the successful one - as has always been the case with shale!

We have close to 1/2Bn acres of leases even if half of that proves to be uneconomic, those leases will provide hundreds of millions of dollars worth of oil for up to 20 years. All we need to take this sp near to double digits is òne commercial well. Two commercial wells and we'll be above 10p, 3 commercials and we'll be retired.
The big problem is the time it takes to prove commercial viability - especially shale projects.
I have no idea how long it will take to prove up a conventional well, other than it is a simpler, well understood process - which is why they call it "conventional". 9 months from now we will have results from 3 conventional projects in all of which we will own a singnificant chunk. If that chunk turns out to be 30%, we still have 100% of the remaining 90% of leases to explore/prove/sell/exploit. This is a long term project (in theory) - but the big question is "how long will the oil majors sit on the sidelines before making a bid?".

We have 3 conventionals slated for Q1 next year, and too early to tell yet whether we will go for Icewine2H next summer.
If all 3 of the conventionals are a success there will be plenty of money, but too little time for another attack on the HRZ (though we might hand that over to an experienced fracking outfit that understands the data acquired from Icewine2V).
DW is probably talking with more than one potential "joint venturer" at the moment about there 4 ongoing projects, to decide on the order of priority - and then we have Yukon Gold on the back burner, probably waiting for Trump to sanction the exploitation of ANWR.
There were quite a few acusations that 88E were hybernating after the shut-in last September - but now we know different ! The thing is, there will be no such accusations this winter, far too much going on, especially from Q4.
We are just entering Q3, and so the draft 3D analysis is probably on the desks of the BoDs already. Long term prospects are as good as ever, in the short term, this is the lull before the storm. I recon this heat wave will be followed by some serious changes in the weather.

my "vision" is that the frac is shaped like a piece of pie, with a slice taken out in the protected "shadow" of icewine1. However, the slice/shadow may be so thin as to have had no material effect.
