Sacking the guy (all assuming he was indeed sacked) for not having created more delay would be too much of an obvious spotlight on corruption.

Even more so now since the British embassy has been involved for months as well.

It's more likely (but by no means certain) that the sacking was done ahead of that meeting with Ascent to demonstrate some good will from the part of the Slovenian authorities.

But again, this is all speculation.

conrad02 - that's a perfectly reasonable interpretation too.

I only deem it less likely because even Slovenian judges ruled in Ascent's favour over the past 2.5 years, so suggesting that the permit was on its way was consistent with the legal position in Slovenia.

But ultimately, this is all speculation.

However, I bought several big fat loads of shares today as I expect it to go much further back up very soon.

Unfortunately, this has fallen into the pattern of a short-term trading share.
Hopefully it will break away from that state before the end-of-year financials are published.

Any clarity as to why no photos / videos whatsoever from them today please, or have I missed something?

It's an AIM share so it's even more driven by sentiment than medium-large caps.

The firing (ahem... "resignation") of the director of ARSO suggests that Leben believes that Ascent has not been treated properly after all, and that is the beginning of a reversal of situation in our favour.

Even buys are slowly coming back here.

The consolidation barely affects holders.

Sure, companies that consolidate their shares see often see their SP slide afterwards, but URU has been on a downtrend for a long time so this consolidation should not make any real difference.

That RNS is a shift from content generation / content sourcing to actual direct revenue generation.

Revenue is what EVRH had not achieved (yet) for its last figures release. So the main concern is being addressed now.

Another step in a good direction.

I still remain focused on the mid-late Feb 2019 release of results though. I have lost money on other tech companies with just as exciting (or more) partnerships because they failed to translate those into enough cash.

Very nice bounce so far.

I'm keeping an eye on the trades till mid-PM to see whether it's worth buying back in. I'm always worried of organised pumps, even more so as the next set of results isn't due till mid March (since the half-year results were released on 22nd August 2018 IIRC).

So The Fool On The Hill has just admitted on Twitter that there was a waster tanker today as well, but that he does not report such waster tankers when they pass by.

He was honest to admit it, but on the other hand it's a fairly dishonest attitude to ignore them generally: they matter almost as much as oil tankers as they give a slightly better indication of where HHDL is at in the EWT process. Only posting images / videos of oil tankers give a heavily distorted picture.

If there were so much cleaning vs straight oil pumping happening, why would we have such a regular flow (pun intended) of oil tankers in-and-out of the site?

It's gone quieter than usual, yes, although we are still well within the announced EWT timeline.

My speculative theory is that SS is not releasing anymore info which is not essential (e.g. preliminary flow test results, vs final / double-checked ones) until SOLO has sold the entirety of its stake so as not to give SOLO an opportunity to offload at a better price, which would risk killing off any positive momentum arising from the release of such news.

Of course, there is no 100% certain way of being sure when SOLO will have / has sold its stake (an RNS is likely for me, but by no means certain).

Because there are roughly as many sells as buys.

Amen. Barely anyone here seems to have a clue about oil drilling - and certainly not our (otherwise very useful) eyes on the ground.

Funny how nobody tried to claim that the after hours sale of 4500000 shares at 16:40 was a buy this time...

It suggests that SOLO is still offloading - I was mistaken last night it seems then, no RNS confirming the disposal just yet!
