The team have been doing all the right things for about 2 years now, but the first sales / profits reported a few months ago were not great - admittedly, it had only recently launched its app, so those numbers were honestly not surprising.

Technicals suggest that the descent is slowing down.

Worth researching. I am not in - largely because I have not cash available right now

Next financials due mid Feb 2019.

The two RNSs of last Friday were positive but not enough to drive that much excitment IMO.

That article is a bit of a mixed bag but certainly shows nothing to truly substantiate that last minute review. It looks like this mess will not last long.

Whyast - answering your question of yesterday about the PR effect: I mean the business press will have picked up on the fact that foreign businesses have pulled out their Slovenian investment plan (in the field) because of the unreliability of Arso, JL and even the courts. This has apparently already been picked up by a Slovenian publication called “Finance” (if we can believe a BB poster’s report of an email from CH), and I suspect it will spread next week. Something quite similar happened last August - it’s only JL who made it all derail since. Methinks that JL’s alleged earlier corruption stories suggested earlier on Twitter, might resurface and ultimately get us a permit pronto.

Reg - if you are concerned with fundraises, don’t dabble with AIM and stick to large / medium cap companies from the main market. Ascent has a solid legal case against to appeal / complain against court’s decisions of 2016 at least, and it has demonstrated that it has been cooperative throughout. So strong legal chances, using he relatively inexpensive CJ EU court system - I doubt it will cost more than £150k in total - Ascent has several times that amount in cash already. The PR effect of Colin’s RNS of Thursday may also be felt soon.

Brockster - agreed re: Colin. He could be a better communicator or better political animal overall, but he has always come across as a decent man to me - I met him in person a couple of times and it never felt like he was trying to sell me something, instead it felt like he was just there to help. I’d personally have preferred that the strategic review be pursued but not without the award of the permits, so its end / suspension at this stage makes perfect sense. Not that it’s a nice situation now, but today’s RNS feels like a repetition of the August one, ie it served as a warning shot to the Slovenian authorities. And last time, the SP ended up about 150-200% higher within a week...

I'm sure it's already in the works. But better to enter mediation when you already know how good your case is should it have to go to court, so that you can be confident at the meeting.

Yes, I’ve just realised that this RNS has served as a public warning shot like last Summer’s one. I suspect some reaction (maybe even a U-turn) from JL and Arso, particularly considering that legal “damages” have now been mentioned.

They ARE planning court action.

There is actually some decisiveness and it shows they have put together a plan B.

Nothing announced.

BUT he may well be waiting for full legal advice and lawyers may be drafting the submission to file with the CJ EU, i.e. it's possible that the full prep has started.

Even formally filing an action is an enticement to join Ascent at the negotiating table.

Let's if the start of legal proceedings is true via an RNS later this week...
