It's ambulance chasers who say that. Even the interviewer disagreed with that comment too.
Oil & Gas and EU competition lawyers would be much more cautions as the stakes are higher for them.

This side comment from Colin suggests that all the lawyers he met were unanimously confident in Ascent's chances.

Which is why the way out is to put pressure on that minister to show that he risks losing his job or constituents (or both), via PR (which is happening) and threat of legal action (which is happening).

This is very likely to have been a buy.

New (unsubstantiated) theory: the holder is deliberately selling to claim a loss on its tax return, but buying back under a different account / registered entity's name because it still expects the SP to rise later....

Please could you clarify what you said about NUOG - I don't recall the March 2018 placed shares having been forward sold before announcement of the placing by RNS.

(I'm not trying to argue with you, I just want to understand what made you think it's what happened as that made me curious.)

No, a placing would first need to be announced by RNS.

Whomever is behind those sells is anyone's guess, but my (uneducated) guess is that it is an attempt to keep the SP down by whatever large holder.

Officially, if your order is above the "market size", the brokers / market makers can charge more than the advertised ask.

Ditto for the bid.

I completely agree with P/F diversification, but I disagree with the logic of “not selling at the bottom”. It’s impossible to know what a share is at a bottom, and recommend instead to always keep a mental stop loss. (Mental - i.e. one presses the sell button, not automated, otherwise the MMs will abuse it.)

Bradis - I think that trades do matter to some extent, but it's obviously not the main factor to consider.

And the clear activities from the PR PoV, especially considering that Geoenergo is behind (some?) of them, show that are even less alone in this situation anymore.

Your guess is probably as good as anyone else's - many claim to know how MMs work, but it's all guesses. MMs are secretive.

IMO (which is also a sort of guess), the MMs have advertised a wide spread to keep the SP in check - especially as there have been occasional big wide trades over the past few trading days. E.g. the 3.5m sell of this AM.

(Those big sells being round numbers make me suspect (but it's speculative) that some professional holder of shares is trying to push the SP down, but this has been failing since late last week, due to the evidence of ramped up PR activity from Geoenergo.)

The SP already went below 0.3 last week, but as you can see it went back up above it and hasn't gone below it since then.

It’s not much of a point though, is it? - it’s extremely vague with a complete lack of specifics. What do you think they did specifically which was to support their interests (and what interests exactly? Ensure they still get paid their salaries for the work they did?) over those of the viability and growth of the company? Unless you mean to say they made bad decisions, which is a different thing altogether - it does imply dishonesty.

Yes, it feels like children asking their parents in a car “are we there yet”, except they are not even asking their parents but random passers-by through the windows... ... I.e. the latter are just as unlikely to know the answer!
