RE: No Win No Fee?10 Jan 2019 11:25
Litigation finance businesses take on exactly this type of thing.
And most legal practices work as partnerships, not shareholders (there are just a small number of exceptions), which means that the partners both own and manage the firm, and do not have to cater to the whims of sharesholders who are remote from the day-to-day activities.
Furthermore, whether it is a litigation finance business or a no win no fee firm, such organisations only take on cases they know they are very likely to win, and they don’t put all their eggs in one basket and do not take on only one case at a time, so they have a flow of revenue as various ongoing cases are won.
And finally, there is little place for “moral right” before the courts unfortunately. Ascent has a strict legal case, regardless of the moral situation.
