I would offer this explanation: It wasn't until recently that the Sami realised they could control the dysfunctional, incompetent and weak CAB, which gave them the confidence and opportunity to employ this spoiling tactic.

Opinions are cheap, I know.
However, the fact remains that no license has been awarded.
Neither has there, even once, been the slightest commitment from the Swedes to indicate any willingness to honour their own process.
After 64 months, I believe my view is more credible than the that of the few who still demonstrate a blind faith, simply because BEM are the good guys, and deserve to be allowed to mine.
This is a purely political decision, and politics doesn’t play fair.

Quoting positive Swedish economic stats doesn’t change that.
There are more measures than economic ones. Politics should also concern itself with the realities of social cohesion, rather than denying those realities.
Having faith in the old certainties is not a reliable path to current truths.
Sweden is in a mess, politically. Dysfunctional and in a spin over not wanting to be labelled racist and yet denying the poison it has imported, and continues to do so.

I have never doubted Kurt, as you know.
It is the attendees of the AGM who should have made clear demands, and failed to do so. What is the point of investing just to sit and watch the opportunity slip through your fingers and the sp continue it’s inexorable slide.

Yes. And that is why I was disgusted that the recent AGM was a non-event.
Attending shareholders should have been demanding action, or, at worst, a commitment to a plan of action after an agreed date without the license.
The backing off from pushing the Swedes for, at least, a timetable is disappoint8ng. Kurt needs to prove, and quickly, that the faith placed in him will pay off.

The inability to secure this license goes much deeper and is in the Swedish dna.
The same dna is allowing the Swedish authorities to sit and watch ( illegal ) immigrants run riot in it’s principal cities. The police and state owned media are instructed not to 8dentify the miscreants as immigrant or Asian or Muslim, which they clearly are all of these. The swedes have been used to a peaceful, prosperous and benign way of life for many generations. Now this has been challenged, they refuse to acknowledge it, to the point they actively deny it.

So what does “playing hardball” look like?
BEM has a tiny SP, therefore tiny market cap. Been waiting 64 months for the license it should, by rights, have received 3+ years ago. Continuing dilution. A dysfunctional government. Civil unrest on a large and growing scale in Sweden. The Sami people exerting pressure which is unjust, without foundation, but is still being taken into account.
A completely discredited CAB, who have got away with unutterable incompetence and obstructive behaviour.
An enterprise and Innovation minister who is, literally redundant, as he does not demonstrate an understanding of his brief.
So, please tell me what cards Kurt has up his sleeve to change all this?
All the Swedes have to do is to continue to do nothing to avert any challenge.
