The rise is the SP this week reflects the broadening and widening of the arena in which the swedes ineptitude is visible. That Kallak is on the bureaucrats agenda is a good thing, but hardly conclusive.
The rise to 17p and subsequent flash crash along with countless other similar rises were all fuelled, like this one by conjecture, expectation, rumour and wishful thinking.
It is a long way from real and this time next week, the bubble could burst.
I din’t See enough pressure on the swedes to make a decision in all this.
In my opinion, this will roll inexorably into 2020 without a decision.

Let’s be honest he Budge is due one!
He is not a man given to hyperbole. I will not allow myself to believe he knows more than he’s letting on until I see an RNS confirming the award of the mining license.

Having reread the RNS, it is not clear which review is ongoing - the review of the Kallak license decision or the review of the application process.
Whatever happened to the “ continuous dialogue “ between company and government?
That never really existed, did it?

Better than nothing but way overdue.
The government has reverted to type in it’s response.
Refusing to meet with the company.
Referring to an “ ongoing review “ yeah. On and on and on.
Unless a writ is issued, in my opinion, the swedes will continue to sit on their hands.

Sounds typically weak and repetitive. No mention of direct questions as to reasons for ongoing delays as no new info has been submitted for 18 months or demanding a timeline and actions and responses from Baylan.
The letter will be ignore / binned.

I am getting to the point where I resent Budge’s wait and see stance very very strongly.
Since he played into the swede’s hands in April 2018 by stating, completely unnecessarily, that the general election would
delay the decision on Kallak, he has been inactive in chasing a decision. Simply periodically whining about delays doesn’t even register with the swedes, does it?
I might also add, during this sabbatical, you and all investors have paid him the thick end of a quarter of a million pounds to achieve absolutely nothing.

Looks like the letter from Budge to Baylan has disappeared into the same void occupied by the application and all the other ridiculously pointless submissions of information, the last of which was submitted over 18 months ago, without response or conclusion.

No you are wrong.
Kallak’s green credentials are clear. It is never useful to view situations purely in black or white terms.
I am not in favour of fracking as the green credentials are non existent. Humanity is not good at compromise, too many egos, agendas and dick waving goes on.

Greta is the conscience which humanity lacks and the voice which it is too dumbed down and blind to use.
I applaud her bravery. Unfortunately I believe she will be indulged for a little while and then gently and condescendingly sidelined as those who rule us pursue % GDP growth at the expense of all else..

Your perceived further delaying tactic causing Budge’s meeting with legal advisors and request for a meeting with a Baylan makes a lot of sense.
The revised / streamlines mining application process is due to be announced at the end of this month.
My view is that it will provide the swedes with a golden opportunity for further delays by demanding the company resubmit the application for scrutiny under the new process as so much time has elapsed since the original application as to make it null and void.
By the way, why can’t Budge just go ahead and publish his letter to Baylan?
If he doesn’t take the gloves off now he never will. Too weak.

I have just revisited last thursday’s RNS.
Budge states the company will publish the letter he has sent to Baylan once the government has “ made it public “
What obligations are there on the government to do that? Nine as far as I know.
So what does Budge do when the letter is not made public and it’s contents ignored?

As two years have elapsed since the CAB’s pronouncement and no decision has been forthcoming, to point out that their anti mine stance might be having an effect seems both pointless and so late a response as to be irrelevant in my view.
Budge is just going over the same gripes as he has for the past 3 years.
The chairman made all these points to Baylan’s Secretary 6 months ago and was ignored, so I can’t see why trying the same old routine is likely to get any different treatment.

In this situation statements mean nothing.
You have to sit in the same room as the decision maker and illicit a dialogue and a response.
Making statements is a cop out. Baylan and Damberg before him have ignored every statement made in support of a mine at Kallak including from their own internal agencies, the MI and CAB.
Statements don’t bring action.

Same regurgitated historical facts....
The chairman requested a meeting with Baylan 6 months ago. When Farm turned up Baylan sent his secretary in his stead and nothing was concluded.
What difference is there with this letter?
Baylan probably won’t respond personally.
Why didn’t Budge meet with Baylan 3 weeks ago when he made his only visit to Northern Sweden? That was the time to strike when he could have demonstrated local support by setting up meetings to include the municipal and business leaders who, if we are to believe Budge, all support the mine at Kallak.
The letter will barely register with Baylan in the safety of his Stockholm enclave.
Shockingly weak and going over old ground. Not good enough.

Does he still work for BEM?
Invisible. Mr cut and paste. He remains hopeful. Well Mr Budge the swedes remain immovable and it is your job to change that.
I don’t see any evidence that he has any plan to achieve that change. Lazy and ineffective as a CEO.

Kurt, on more than one occasion, has asserted that the company is in constant dialogue with the office of Mr Baylan.
Baylan’s first visit to Northern Sweden close to Kallak is a perfectly relevant opportunity to continue that dialogue, isn’t it?
What is there to be scared of?
That the swedes will not make a decision? Been in that position for donkey’s years now. LKAB are the obvious partner, and likely the only one acceptable to Baylan should the mine get the go ahead. Kurt is sidelining himself - exactly what the swedes want.
They are not prioritising the application as stated. In fact, pretty much everything the swedes state is vacuous rubbish and is never followed up in any tangible action or progress or an indication of what the feck is happeninfpg with the application, which is clearly absolutely nothing.
And don’t trot out the old “ paperwork is being prepared “ nonsense. The Bayeux tapestry didn’t take this long.

The review of the application process is due to be concluded at the end of this month.
For argument’s sake, let us assume that actually happens on time ha ha ha.
The application lodged in April 2013 could very well have to be resubmitted and subject to fresh scrutiny according to the revised process as the old process is no longer valid ( was it ever? )
The swedes dare not make a decision. That much is abundantly clear. The new framework is yet another device for them to be able to kick the can down the road once again with no hint of a timeframe for the company or investors.
Now, before the happy clappers round on me saying this could not possibly happen, please review the shameful treatment meted out so far and justify your counter to the above assertion.
The evidence weighs very heavily in my favour, does it not?

Well, as investors feel Budge does not need to meet with the main decision maker, please could someone tell me the benefit of his visit this week when the decision maker has returned to Stockholm?
