Baylan is first up at the mining conference in a week’s time.
Of course, it provides all the desparate long termers another slither of hope to cling on to.
There would have been a leak by now if he had anything significant to announce. He will say nothing concrete other than announcing the new streamlined fast track ( ha ha ) application process and expect to be lauded for it.

What will Budge do after next week and no decision?
Tell us all there will be a decision before summer probably.
Anyone who still expects a decision on Kallak is just wrong.

The title of his spiel would suggest, as I have suspected for some time, that he will announce the new streamlined application process to mine in Sweden and Kallak will be subject to the new process, thus making the past six and a half years irrelevant.
That is why Budge has had lawyers on the case, in anticipation of being put back in the queue.

What has been implicit for years now has just been clarified and made slightly more explicit.
That there is no legal reason for a lack of a ( yes ) decision and hasn’t been for almost 2 years.
If the law is sufficient a yes should be easy.
The fact that it is anything but easy confirms that the swedes are perfectly comfortable in the corner into which they have painted themselves...

The statement is not a threat of legal action.

More likely that Budge sees no prospect if a decision on Kallak ( and is unwilling to push for one ) so is progressing another project in order to give the illusion of earning his salary.

I have not made it up at all.
I have used six and a half years of evidence to deduce it. patterns have repeated so often, it isn't such a stretch to believe Baylan will manipulate the revision of the application process to provide himself with an excuse to continue to make no decision.
I hold steadfastly to my mantra - can't say no, won't say yes.

1. In his ministerial position for 10 months now and has done nothing with the Kallak application.
2. The promised review of the application procedure should now have been completed.
3. If it has, I would expect Baylan to use the mining conference at which he is due to speak on 27 November to announce the new fast track ( ha ha ha ) procedure as a major achievement which he can put his name to.
4. At that point, all outstanding applications, including Kallak will be subject to this new procedure, and, as such, the application will effectively be back to square one, as if the past six and a half years have been irrelevant.
5. This would disguise the government’s indolence and arrogance and create the illusion of progress.

Patience = denial of reality.

How the Sami and the Swedish bureaucrats must have cried tears of hilarity into their herring broth.
You are now firmly camped in territory which cries out that there will be no decision on Kallak whilst the Beowulf name is above the door.
It could not be clearer. Pretending to engage whilst doing nothing has been the hallmark for years.
Kurt is happy to pick up his £3k a week plus wads of shares for sitting on his hands.
My son was out of work for a couple of months a few years back and worked harder than Budge during that time for his £70 a week job seeker’s allowance.
Budge, Farm and the Swedish advisory board are, in essence colluding with the Swedish government in spectating and applying zero pressure.
It has been this way and will continue indefinitely in this way.
I know the die hard s will refuse to believe this, but these are the facts.

I am beginning to think this whole debacle is a scam.
Budge is taking the p*ss. And what does Farm bring to the party and where are the Swedish advisory board.
It is all a sham edifice of respectability and responsibility but in reality it is all froth and no substance. At least someone is making money out of this charade. Watching Budge churning out the same rubbish interview after interview is turning my stomach.

If the decision is imminent as Kurt believes it to be, why is there the need for fund raising now?
What does it achieve if the license is already in the post?

Kurt’s levels of delusion over Kallak and the “ anticipated decision “ are getting out of hand.
At least he has secured his £3k a week for another year or more for doing very little.

I thought the Asa Persson article was a spoof, but, astoundingly it is real.
Politicians lives exist in an exclusive and separate world to ours. They love to put out rubbish like this to feed their own egos and need to feel self important.
Look at the 650 f*cktards in the House of Commons. They are absolutely revelling in the chaos they are creating for the same sick psychological reasons. They are the centre of attention and, no matter what, their lavish lifestyle is assured. That is all they crave.
Mission statements, however vacuous, are the daily meat and drink to these parasites.

Decades of unbroken growth and prosperity without effort has spawned a generation of very sloppy and aimless politicians in Sweden who fully expect a superannuated sinecure for life without hindrance by such pesky issues as an economic downturn.
Faced with the prospect of having to actually manage their economy and not just bask in it’s reflected ongoing glory, they are hopelessly lost.
Damberg and Baylan are shining examples of the appalling atrophy and indolence in Swedish politics. The emperor Nero would be proud...

That statement is a sick joke - either a bare faced lie or the author is deluded.
Be aware that the U.K. has contributed 17% of the EU budget for many year. That will cease very soon. Remaining members must tighten their belts significantly, Germany and France, for whose benefit the EU has been developed are at the front of the queue. Sweden’s current economic downturn will be hastened by the lack of EU money going forward.
As far as Sweden is concerned, it is a perfect storm, economically, and yet ineffective ministers like Baylan continue to spout this rubbish.

My assessment of this sh*tshow is as true today as it has ever been.
Just a brief moment of gentle scrutiny for Baylan. Now back to normal and the Aktie owners have played punters like a dream to extract maximum profit.
Sums up Sweden’s arrogance that centuries old certainties still hold sway. They do not.
Sweden’s economic downturn is already unstoppable and with ministers like Baylan will only gather momentum. So sad...

he has done absolutely nothing in 10 months. I doubt he has even looked at the application or designated any staff to it's progress. utterly shameless.
Minister for enterprise and innovation. he is a stranger to both concepts.
The Swedish economy is at the beginning of an historic downturn and he is petrified of a few reindeer herders.
Pathetic. you had better hope Finland and Kosovo come good and soon. Kallak will see no mine for a very long time, in my opinion.

The recommendation by the business department of the CAB recommending the go ahead for a mine at Kallak was subsequently found never to have even existed. It was the work of a mischievous CAB insider. Neither this nor the flash crash itself were ever investigated.
This is not a level playing field.
