I have read all of McCarthy's novels. The Road is bleak in the extreme. The film I enjoyed, as it was toned down from the novel, many of the passages would not have passed any censor.
Blood Meridian is magnificent. McCarthy is up there with Orwell for me. HIs prose is luminous and exhilarating.

Due to the Swedes head in the sand mentality, the passing of 7+ years and the attendant dilution has already blunted the potential rise in the SP, should a concession be granted.
Even if there is a yes on Wednesday, and there won't be, in my opinion, the absolute max I can see the SP hitting is 20p with a following wind.
My comment re further funding I would have thought is obvious. Once government support for business and individuals ends and a second and third spike in deaths is with us, investment in risky enterprises like BEM will come to an abrupt halt.

The world, post virus will no longer see any appetite for investments like BEM. No concession means a very swift end to the company.

Other than the info the company are obliged to provide, all we ever get is repeated whining in interviews about Swedish bureaucracy.
It is the CEO’s job to provide prompt and regular updated to shareholders on the single most acute issue the company faces. Investors get silence on that, or, at best, what he’s not going to do.
To pass off the Paris state of the SP on Coronavirus is crazy.
The company has no revenue or profit at risk, or shareholder dividends under pressure.
This is purely a local fight, and nothing to do with Coronavirus.

Prior to BEM, his credentials were impeccable.
Unfortunately for him, his credentials now include his years with BEM, and that has seriously damaged his CV.

Budge is floundering badly. Brought in 18 months after application was submitted for his mining pedigree in the expectation of the license being granted.
No mine after five and a half years and he's out of ideas - treading water. This is not the behaviour of an effective CEO, is it?

I have never questioned Budge’s integrity. I think he’s a good bloke.
But, and it is a significant but, when you are CEO it is your efficacy which must be validated by tangible, quantifiable achievement.
In this respect, he falls well short, in my opinion.
The application was lodged 18 months before he was appointed. Five and a half years later, he is in exactly the same position - waiting with no idea when or if a decision will come.
That I have a problem with. Being a good bloke is not enough. He has never progressed beyond repairing the damage with the locals, which he achieved four years ago.
As I would say about any CEO, if you are unable to achieve the overriding objective in your brief, maybe someone else can. The question now needs asking, in my opinion.

Budge has clearly lost interest, checked out, and is just going through the motions in order to collect his £3k a week...
