I reckon we will get the government RNS soon, the government official will be bored with the rich food lunches playing havoc with his digestive system, have sports like injuries from his fifteen mistresses and decide to go into work for a break and sign a few documents. One of which is ours.

Ivenoidea, I agree, also while we do need this small government sign off, the wet season will be a big dictator, if it is a dry year we could be close, if it lingers on then that would put it back.
Four months late on production would be nothing to us and no worry, this is building a real mine, roads etc, overrun on time should be expected.

I love lithium - that sounds reasonable if we go it alone. Of course if we go JV and finance is separate, then we could have cash in hand of around 80-120m dependent upon the percentage sold, this is on the 97km only.
However, if another plot is derisked before this plot is in production and there is a JV option on that one, I reckon they will start building that one too and another cheque would arrive in a JV situation. I don't think we would get another plot derisked above this before both plants are operational.
Like you say once one plant is in production our value should lift dramatically.
Bernie is very clear that full production plants must be in operation asap to catch this exceptional situation of sky high lithium price as around 2030 it is likely to level out.
However in 2030 we should be well established lithium miners and able to remain profitably in the market.
Nobody can tell what investors will do, I watched two shares go to 4p+ with not a hope in hell of providing profit for shareholders at such high share price levels.
Anything can happen with share price/ market cap, which is why we all keep logging in a few times per day. Buying frenzies happen on popular shares.

Clapa, gold prices are still high but slipped slightly the last time I looked.
To be honest for an explorer start up, just the 97km square patch producing would be a mega achievement. If a second patch also derisked fully and gave anything near the current NPV we would be on cloud 9.
Everything else could flop and it would not matter.
The other fields gold and lithium could be drilled on loose change and barely register on our accounts.
I get the feeling we are aiming for two plants not one, another will follow close behind 2025/26 we might have two 130,000 tonne per year plants running.
We may also have derisked and sold a goldfield too.

Comeonbernie, apart from the Kodal website layout - not non miner investor friendly - I agree 100% with your comment, I have followed a lot of different explorers from different industries.
To date this is the best one I have seen. Every single prospect has potential and the first here is huge. If they get two plants going they become significant.
Bernie is a top geologist, absolutely no doubt, his board he has assembled is spot on, he interviews very well.
He underplays everything is a little over optimistic with time scales but puts no spin on anything.
I have faith in his abilities.
Others are judging success by market cap, trapped traders blaming him for their failures and new investors who will learn about share investing the hard way, with the usual sprinkling of internet trolls, but trolls are reducing which is good.
There are some superb CEO communicators and presenters out there, that is why I never listen to CEOs until invested, only cold facts, swayed by personality can lose money or miss out on opportunities.
I agree with you comeonbernie, he has done nothing wrong to deserve those comments.
If we get a JV on the first plot I get the feeling that some investors are expecting too much, but we will see.

Last of the summer, Mali is one of the largest gold producers in the world, fourth largest, some say third. They have other mining too. Mine financing is not new to Mali. That is what SP Angel consultants provide consultancy for, they are represented on our board.

Some seem to think market cap is king and seem to think it should be above NPV, that is time to take money not put anything in.
What is important here is that the pieces continue to go together in the correct order and contracts are good.
However I think if we get a JV some may be disillusioned with the payment and think it small.
A JV contract here is likely to be complicated. We will see.

Ilovelithium, but prem has had to add an additional stage, put in a pilot plant to prove the resource, Kodal is straight to a full production plant. Big difference on that particular score.
Kodals study and NPV is strong enough to go to production.
Finance will not be an issue on that NPV.

Elcobble, I think in the new optimisation they went for the easiest hit, it may be in there, possibly the full RNS on the Kodal site. That is really sensible, I have seen exploration companies get a bit too clever, do something unorthodox, fail and the result is too complex for investors to follow. Keep it simple get one success in then build on it, later on people will forgive the odd error.
I am not really clued up just try and read around each part as much as I can and look at similar situations around the world.
It helps if after this company I invest in another mining company. Plus it makes it a more interesting hobby. A hobby which can change your life.
Everything always comes back to the website. They need to close off outdated statements from the past with a clear paragraph and make it clear where they are today, the past is the past.
Most investors lost off on here, including me too are a result of poor communication.
The presentations and q&a are as good as any company I have seen, it is not as clear in print.

Clapa, yes the fundamentals are brilliant, only the land in the NPV can be taken into consideration, the rest could be exploration duds until proven different, nothing is in the bag there so they are just potential extras once mining.
Mali's biggest industry and export is mining, gold in particular, they are experienced and will not rock the boat.
Their licencing periods do look outdated, they could be reformed without damaging the industry or individual mines.
Gold mines should not be mothballed during high gold prices so I understand their frustration.
As far as this year goes it depends on the government office and their workload. Remember how long that private laboratory took on those samples because they were overwhelmed with work.
It will happen, providing America doesn't go picking fights with every country on the planet.

Clapa, the licence you raise and the exploitation licence I mentioned, the exploitation covering the remaining ground too over a twelve year period, while the proven ground only takes four years to mine, was my reason behind being unsure how a buyout or JV would be structured as the two are now together.
But I saw a JV, I think in Finland, where the major mining company has small percentage options on proven ground, 20% or 10% chunks then options on the ground to be explored if proven to be fruitful, a cheque for each chunk up to a maximum percentage. I wondered if we might get something like that. Downside is a very complicated contract.

Claps, that is the exploration licence, we now have what they call an exploitation licence a mining licence.
We are making a change to that licence.
As usual I am running round like a lunatic when something crops up, so others can maybe look at the RNS on other Mali gold mines.
But I see no RNS on the sites I looked at regarding the points raised in that news article and although it did not highlight this in the article, it is directed at gold mining.

Lithboy, exactly everyone in lithium wants to be selling asap while the price is high.

I am not sure it requires an update, unless we are affected by the temporary closure of the offices. If we are that message needs to be short.
The audit etc are limited to gold mines so commenting on a governments actions at all would not be wise. If they shorten the gold licence term then they will have to issue more, so the office would need restructuring, if the gold licences are shorter they will receive more licence fees and could employ more staff.
Lithium is not off the ground yet in Mali, effectively Firefinch and ourselves are the pilots for the government.
Gold is Mali's cash cow.
They may revoke gold licences for exploitation licences not being worked, or threaten something along those lines, so watch out for the next jumbled news report.

Lithboy, the government's review was for gold mines only, they sent an audit team out earlier in the year.
Many gold mines are underproducing or mothballed by wealthy companies sitting on the asset.
They say they may change the licences to the life of the mine, then they would have to renew. To stop them sitting on the resource, they would have to mine it.
Mali's biggest export is gold, so it will be a large source of royalties, gold production was under target earlier this year.
We want to mine not sit on it, so even if it was widened to lithium and everything else, it would not impact us and as you say, we already have a 12 year licence.
