I do not think anyone should expect the assets to have been re-registered by the next long stop deadline.

We can hope they are, but to expect is not a good idea.

It takes 3 months absolute minimum in this country to transact that process over relatively simple asset reregistration.

Hainan finished their part in April, so Kodal began their part mid April.

Bernard and Hainan may have been informed by offices in Mali that they can transact this within a certain period.

Neither Hainan nor Kodal have done this before in Mali, therefore all they can repeat is what they have been told, they have no experience of timelines in this process.

I too hope it is concluded before the extended long stop, but I have my doubts.

In the scheme of things it makes no difference, May, June or July.

Daz, I am thinking the same, I would have estimated 12 weeks from the Hainan RNS at the absolute earliest if doing the same procedure in this country.

That doesn't include the mining licence alteration which I believe will be after the Hainan cash.

I think the licence name change will include Hainan and Bougouni West sale, and their licence and permit alterations will all be completed in one go.

But that is purely opinion.

Bernard does not seem to think so as the new long stop is the end of this month.

They match with 25 % of Bernards once the finance deal goes through.

But I can't match that exercise back to issue, unless they were released under an odd heading.

In context it takes about 40 minutes on the fastest roads in the isle of man to travel from the point at the South to the northern point if you drive quickly on empty roads up the west side of the island 10 to 15 minutes across the centre, coast to coast.

Everything at Kodal has been relatively quick considering the size of these projects.

I don't think that, apart from royalties and the government being included in the new company that anything else to do with the government is part of this process.

Just the list of stuff to transfer to the new company after Hainan finished their bit in April.

Once this is completed I think it will go through, just a lot of crappy little stuff involved in the process.

Once the cash arrives drilling can start and I think they will submit the licence alteration at this stage with the new company name. We are told this is a formality and construction can start upon return.

The drilling would not be delayed and Nielle and Fatou can start work again.

I think the licence amendment is connected to Hainan, so the deal will go through first - but like you that is my view only.

Merc, have you seen anything official which says it is Mali? I think that was a false headline on a news story.

Kodal were quoted in the article as saying that they are transferring assets from the old company to the new one, I never saw anything else.

Was it in an interview?

Has anyone re-registered investments so as not to trigger CGT? similar thing. Except it is assets, all staff, insurances, permits, equipment. I am not sure how long ago the Hainan completion RNS was, Kodal have been on it since that date not January.

Stephen, the website has altered, people lost Kodal threads and were having a political banter while they fiddle through the various settings - while nothing is happening with Kodal.

For anyone not familiar with the regular posters, most on here have a strong overseas connection. Lived or living abroad, born overseas - non English wives, many black posters.

I can see why some have jumped in assuming that we are stereotypes - we are not.

I am not sure that the Mali government is involved with any of the current work, possibly royalties in the new company.

I know proactive did have something in one of their headlines, but I am not sure that it was correct.

Migrating everything to the new mining company is the main task, without creating a tax issue, so re-registration from one company to another.

If they were simply moved the increase in asset value would trigger taxation. Re-registration avoids this, but of course it is slower 🐌

Yes I am concerned about the rigs too.

Kodal covers such a massive area progress is never fast on explorers budgets.

I am excited about putting that Hainan capital into drilling to see fast progress on the mining site. I too hope they have drilling rigs ready to hit the ground running.
