According to The Times today, Coca Cola has decided to drop their premium Schweppes 1783 Tonic range.

I guess there are different ways to read this - they don't believe there is sufficient or dwindling market for premium brands (not good for Fevertree) or they've capitulated and decided they can't compete with premium brand tonic leader (which would be good for Fevertree).

Hello, hello! New all time high in the SP. Encouraging end of month report. NAV continuing in the right direction and an UT at the end of the day 10p higher than it had been trading at just prior.

Very happy to have held my nerve at the beginning of the year and continue to be a long term holder.

I haven't looked back to check but I don't think they usually do say what the songs/catalogues have cost them. Probably partly due to not wanting to let the competition and other rights holders know what sort of prices they're paying.

The market says "bust" but they have quite a bit of cash which should hopefully see them through to more normal times in which case a multi bagger from here.

Mind you I would say that as I've held for quite a while and the current value of my holding makes this almost option money so I'll hold on for whichever outcome.

Sorry to rain on your parade but there's no way of knowing that those big trades are buys. The share price was higher than that for most of the day so could easily be sells but reported late.

I love the yield so picked up a few more today on this update.

As you say, IC stick with their advice ..... but I don't think they, or anyone else has a target price of 400p.

OK, I know they already hold a lot but disappointing nevertheless to see them selling all the shares granted.

No doubt someone far cleverer than I will come along and tell me that I've got it all wrong but I can't see any benefit in owning them in NY in dollars as I live in the UK. Yes, you may be able to escape the withholding tax (actually do you get full relief?) but you will lose out when it comes to buying/selling. HL foreign exchange is substantial. Price in dollars and sterling will move in lockstep - otherwise clever people would be able to arbitrage the difference.

Let's hope the company are lobbying hard and that the government takes note and doesn't miss this golden opportunity.

Oh come on. This is from 11 years ago.
There are just the same set-ups around doing exactly the opposite talking up the SP so holders can sell out at a higher price.
It's just the way of the world and always will be.

You have to have a mind of your own - yes read all you can on both sides of the argument but at the end of the day, don't blame someone else for your mistakes.
