Many here far more knowledgeable than me but I read the RNS as meaning that the electrolysers would be built in Sheffield and sent to Germany where Linde would build the "plant" which would consist of quite a bit more than just the electrolysers (they'd need to prepare the site plus extra stuff to enable the electrolysers to connect up to what they want connecting plus all the infrastructure needed).

But 24MW, by my reckoning, should still only take just over 1 week for ITM to manufacture once Sheffield up and running properly (1 gigabyte per year capacity) so I'm a bit perplexed as to why delivery won't be made until the second half of 2022 unless Sheffield already has more than 1 years worth of orders (that would be great) or maybe Linde needs that much time to prepare the local infrastructure before delivery from ITM required.

Anyone read things much differently?

They're called managers, lawyers and accountants. Also probably a case of " a bird in the hand is worth....."

Of course, none of us know how much Hipgnosis is paying or what the earnings history is but, all things being equal, I see these types of deals better than say, that for Barry Manilow which I read as excluding publishing royalties (but maybe I've got that wrong).

Well, not quite.

I don't think the "results" are going to be anything to write home about. Results being a look backwards to what has been (maybe many here disagree?).

Now that the factory is up finished, it's surely all about "the order book" and "the outlook".

I expect it's because (a) the people they're buying from don't want it disclosed and (b) they don't want to let their competitors know what deals they're doing.

They'll have the figures going back a few years so no doubt they know what they're doing but hard to see how they can make much money out of Jimmy Iovine given that they say it's for his producer royalties. Bulk of "producer royalties" would have been from physical record sales so mostly all earned by now. No mention of writer's royalties which, I would have thought, is where the long term value in catalogues is to be found.

Not a game changer, in my view.

OK - so I'm happy to admit that my technical knowledge is somewhat limited but why do you say 300 per day and 300 what exactly? According to the rns (and everything else to date) this is a gigawatt (1,000 MW) per annum factory. The smallest unit that they make is 0.7 MW so that would be 1,428 units per annum (less than 4 per day working 7 days per week) or, if you want to work it out in MWs then that's less than 3 MW per day.

So where do you get 300 per day?

Personally, if my way of working it out is anywhere near correct then I'm pretty disappointed with those figures. I hope they make a lot of profit on each unit.

As a long term holder (of quite a few shares) please tell me where I'm, going wrong.

Could be a tide of "Brexit Relief" money hitting the market on Tuesday/Wednesday. Combined with traders bored out of their minds following covid compliant Christmas - this could easily hit 500 by end of 2020.

Undoubtedly just late reported trades and with the SP trajectory over the day they could all just as easily have been sells.
