Well it would be great to hear that lorries are stacked up waiting to load finished units but let's be sensible.

The factory has a capacity of 1 Gigawatt per annum. They made a point of announcing the sale of 1 x 1.4Megawatt unit - OK that's looking forward to future sales but it is only 1 day's output when working at maximum efficiency. That's allowing for some announced modifications to standard spec.

Big holding for me so I'm definitely not trying to talk down the price. I'd be delighted for Bellers to tell us that factory is a hive of activity.

I wonder what would happen if he turned up at the office door, letting them know that he was a local shareholder and asking how things are going?

P&O Cruises will offer voyages around the British coast this summer, but only for UK residents who have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

The above is from America - so "gas" means "petrol" and presumably diesel.

Oldsid:- NAV is the value of all the trust's assets. SMT declare what that value is every day - see the Live RNS icon above.

So, if the NAV is higher than the share price then the trust is trading at a discount. If the NAV is lower than the share price then it's trading at a premium.

Today it's trading at a slight discount - so effectively you are buying all the holdings of the trust cheaper than if you were able to buy them all separately although, with SMT, bear in mind that they have a lot of unquoted assets which you wouldn't be able to buy in any case.

In an ideal world it's nicve to buy when it's trading at a discount - but SMT often trades at a premium because investors have a lot of faith in the managers.

Hope that's of some use.

Re why to buy in the placing rather than in the market. You don't pay dealing costs or stamp duty if in the placing so I guess it depends on how many you're thinking of buying as to whether it makes much difference.

HL informed me about the offer this afternoon.

Re buying via Primary Bid into an ISA. Maybe the problem is that if your ISA is already fully funded for this year then transferring in shares via PB would take you over your limit. Also, broker would have to know that the money used to buy the shares was your money and maybe they just can't be bothered taking the risk that it isn't. Must admit I've never tried adding shares obtained via PB to an ISA.
