Further vaccine rollout and a good chance that Stage 4 out of lockdown will be authorised. That would cut social distancing in shops altogether and the need for queues outside.

Just because it doesn't jump 10% or 15% in a day doesn't mean people haven't observed the RNS. If you are an institution or a fund why fuel say a 15% rise buying say a 10M chunk all at once after todays RNS when you can build say a 20M or 30M position at the inbetween prices by taking your time.

The simple question I think you should be asking yourself is given what you know do you anticipate the share price being a good percentage higher after Fast and Furious 9?

Add on the same question regarding Marvel's Black Widow which releases 2 weeks later?

and allowing the theatre window on each to run its course.

Maybe for some it might be time to change from a trading perspective to say a 2 month perspective.

Even then you would then have to factor in your next set of eyes being on James Bond release in September and Maverick in November, either or both of which I think feasibly can be brought forward if Stage 4 unlocks.

I don't need to be convinced. Not only are there 4 or 5 Mega grossing films to come but there are plenty others in between with all round appeal to whet the appetite and keep the tills ringing.

Imho there is slow accumulation going on so as not to spike the price too much (circa 90p ). Far better to have slow and steady rises than spikes which the day traders instantly sell into

As I said earlier its a hold for gold now and review at the end of July after F9 and Marvel's Black Widow. Cinema is back and it's Vaccine backed. Capacity increasing by the day and accompanied by clear enthusiasm for the cinema.

The first 22 Regal cinemas opened in Godzilla v Kong and excelled at the Box Office.
Then another 54 Regal Cinemas opened into Mortal Kombat and out the blue came the real surprise package of Demon Slayer (Mugan Train) which pipped it and with it also excelling on the same weekend. Good film Mortal Kombat.
More and more reopenings all over America to now 97% capacity with all the previous and further new releases, Oscar winners, Nomadland and The Father, Statham's Wrath of Man, Jolies new film etc
Uk reopens into Peter Rabbit 2 that has again just excelled over the weekend.
Cruella and Quiet Place 2 releasing this weekend for what Mooky has highlighted will be a further strong weekend.
F9 knockout opening in the Far East. UK on the 24th June. US on 25th June.

You will probably remember an article NO FEAR posted previously on an "Embarassment of Riches" awaiting cinemas this year. Everything thus far is pointing that way.

Did they not just have the fundraise lined up to announce at the last update?

It's not as if they only had 3 months to finalise terms and they could have announced it when the share price was in the 90's, with less dilution.

I really do think they need better advisors.

I think everyone now just wants it done and then lets get back on with recovery.

Btw I always did point out that even they were technically in breach of covenants and there were on paper ineligible due to stricter criteria for the business interruption schemes there was a back door available for previously profitable businesses and going direct to the Treasury.

Unfortunately for them they have been surpassed by news of F9's asian takings and Mooky's RNS this morning.

Looking forward to them having to buy back as the £'s, $ and Euros roll in and according to today's RNS it is looking like another good weekend ahead, and many on here know it is a conveyor belt of new releases to our first Blockbuster in what is only 1 month to the exact day. Fast and Furious 9.

I've already decided its 4 Imax tickets for that one.

Vaccine backed reopenings is the inflection point for Cineworld. Previously 8 months of all cinemas closed and no revenue. Now the giant has awoken and is taking money again and with over 95% of screens open worldwide by the end of may and over 97% in America, by far our biggest market.

The films are also there in abundance in a year like no other and including four blockbusters or high grossing films if you like.

Says it all really and there has been some excellent work and many contributors on here over the weekend that pointed to such a statement. F9 looks like its the next blockbuster on June 24th / 25th and so many other films out there.

Israel reopening is another bonus of 11 multiplexes which I had written off due to recent troubles and that should put us up at over 95% of all our cinemas reopened and pulling in revenues and the PM has stated we should hear on Stage 4 of the Roadmap and social distancing being lifted by the end of the month. "Feeder" bars and restaurants should similarly get to 100% capacity.

The stars are aligning and sooner or later one or more fund will appear in the Offer side.

Vaccine backed reopening with the plethora of films that are coming are worth far more than 89p and we have been £1.20 on very little.

The one thing you can't argue with ultimately is cash through the tills. Thats ticket sales, concession sales and the advertising credit revenues.

We kicked off well into Godzilla versus Kong, then Demon Slayer doubled with Mortal Kombat in the US, Now Peter rabbot has opened to far better than expected and F9 has reallty impressed in only 8 territiories.

It's going to be a great summer of films.

Next up Disney's Cruella this weekend and its Half Term so Peter Rabbot contuinuing to run as as well as the 2nd weekend of PR2 should make for another good start.

I havene't even started to mention Stage 4 Road Map easing and capacity restrictions lifting and what that will mean for us.

All the spotters out there were saying the same on Peter Rabbot and with the retail parks brimming and hard to park in and the kiddie films bringing in the revenues and theconcession income.

F9's takings he didn't even mention, nor it being brought forward in the UK.

Bonkers0801, there is every chance that if the UK does progress to Stage 4 of the Roadmap on 21 June as the PM more than hinted at on Froday then I think we stand every chance that "No Time To Die" and "Maverick" could bring their release dates forward.

F9's resounding opening weekend success and the fact they have brought their own Uk release forward might be the catalyst for some rethinking by others. 23 July or 20th August look like two possible dates.

Excellent news that the vaccines are about 90% effective against the Indian varient. That had started translating into the infection rate on Friday and it has certainly continued in the last 3 days infection rates which have successively fallen. Deaths are also still at only 5.

Never underestimate kiddie films for they normally mean mums, dads and the other members of the family also come along and they also fill the afternoon and matinee performances.

Next weekend also sees the start of half term holidays and Disney releases Cruella on the 28th May just to coincide.
