Within close sight.

Now that's been a dramatic 2 day turnaround that gifted good entry points onto so many oil related shares. Still some out there with a full recovery yet to be pencilled in.

Good afternoon small trader and I hope you are well. It looks like things are finally changing for the better with the share price and hopefully we can get back to the £1.00 level. The halving of the share price imho was market maker driven, with a little assistance from shorts. Not the other way around. Trades though had been noticeably slowing over the last few days and it looked like it had bottomed at 62p and I pointed out the other day that the propensity to keep knocking the share price down to generate volume had stopped. Hopefully we regain further and lose a few of the penny and two penny traders along the way and also the juvenile posters who spend all their sad existence of a lives on here.

Morrisons were on the most shorted list. Bought out and with multiple interest. Sainsbury's are on there also. Somebody running the slide rule over it apparently at the weekend. I'd also like to think CINE and HMSO being amongst the next two on the list to be subject to bid approaches.

CINE are cheap and presently have about half their market cap sat as cash on the balance sheet.

Forward we move to Bond and what should be a good Q4 with tills back to pre-pandemic levels but with the continuance of enhanced concession food and drink sales. In the words of Sean Connery. "The namesssssh Bond, Jamessssh Bond" Add your own Scottish accent.

Nobody mentioned the 15% rise in Sainsburys today.

Sitting duck after being one of the most heavily shorted shares after CINE and given what has gone on with Morrisons. Talk of someone running the slide rule over it at the weekend.

Plenty suggestions of potential suitors out there for CINE if you dyor.

Thanks for your input Jubileey but you are wrong. It's not and it is based on the fundamentals of a years worth of $68 and higher oil prices. Don't be surprised if heading into winter we return to $75 per barrel oil and quicker than most think.

As things stood this morning I worked it out that 47.55p would suffice. The resurgent oil price gives it a fair to middling chance and you also have a CEO that quietly and efficiently gets on with his job and can surprise with news.

I think we all know that off $68 Brent and the free cash flow it generates it should be in the 50's and probably in the mid 50's.

Lets see how the invested institutions play things.

There doesn't seem to be the same market making propensity to drop the price to generate trading volume these days. Mission accomplished perhaps in halving the share price since reopenings, or maybe it's the Bond factor or maybe another reason. Definitely less volatility.

Strangely @CARD (Card factory) it was taken down from 80's and 90's to about 56p only on Friday. Today it opens up nearly 10% on absolutely no news.

It would be nice to see some Institutional thirst emerging and that might persuade others to jump back in.

I went at the weekend to Currys / Pc World to have a look for a bigger Oled or 4K TV or the similar and to my amazement the marketing executives at the big film studios have not missed a trick.

Playing in the background in glorious technicolour and on a constant loop on virtually all the tv's in the place were trailers for Snake Eyes, Paw Patrol and Hotel Transylvannia. It's a shame the latter is bypassing cinemas and going straight to streaming for it looked really good. Presumably it gets regularly updated to keep up with the latest releases.

Next time you are on the high street or at a retail park pop in and have a look for yourself. This has to be another revenue stream in its own right for Dixons whom I believe own Curry's / PC World.

It might be one reason for why Paw Patrol is popular in the UK at the moment.

Just when we need the numbers in New York to improve to try and make up the market share losses mentioned in the half yearly update , along comes the flooding and Hurricane Henri and people being advised to stay at home with a State of Emergency declared. Just what we need and again surprised the balance posters missed it off the weekend updates.

Always does pay to keep a balanced view on your investments. Hopefully Paw Patrol has pulled back some of the ground in what is one of CINE's key markets.

Just need to get the Cineplex court case out the way that you and FI have been repeatedly reminding us of Crumpets. 13th September for that one. Also some valid points you make JG68 and I'm surprised that the supposed balanced posters on here haven't ticked you up for your post, nor sought to mention it first.

I think unfortunately a lot have left the bulletin board these days, hence why it's so quiet.

BC2020 I don't think anyone is panicking. Just traders selling as usual or market makers trying to generate trading volume.

Travel stocks seem to have reversed some of yesterdays gains so that's probably today's reason @CINE. Look on the bright side we could have been aligned to the oil price which has seen 7 days of successive falls and took another big hit overnight. Not sure why, probably speculators. But that said it gives all a chance to look to add on the oils side of their p/f's.

Sorry for that. Another big "hit" overnight.

Surely in this day and age the market for commodities is a lot more stable than the volatility in this market suggests.

Thanks for that bullsbears and most of us know that. We haven't been position posting and dependent on whether we have been holding or not.

Plenty has been written and regurgitated on here time and time again (by non holders imho) about how there is the lack of depth of film releases. Guess what Venom is delayed. Hotel Transylvania now to streaming, yet same said posters are now spouting that they see more films out there. The calender of releases hasn't changed other than that.

Our screens have always all had films in them. It is simply if you just care to turn your negative specs into positive specs.

Just be aware this bulletin board is full of traders who one minute are negative and the next positive. You can see it in about five minutes worth of looking at their posts.

Hopefully they all get caught out in a bigger upswing than they upswing anticipated and have to pay that bit more for their next entry point.

Most times it pays to play the long game in some stocks.
Always the potential there to catch the traders and shorters out imho

Oh I see we have the forky tongue lot out now shouting in favour, after deramping this at every cut and turn prior to results. Absolutely nil integrity whatsoever. No mention either by our ace spammer of the deal taking Hotel Transylvania out of cinemas and onto streaming in a $100M deal, or New York reverting to a vaccine mandate either.

Happy to pop up some of those posts or to recite them just to remind all on here who is who and changes their tune like the weather.

Fortunately we are seemingly aligned to the travel sector and it had a good day. Lets have a few more of those and a decision on Bond and its release at the end of September. A decision can't be far off as the marketing will have to kick in on the run up.

Interesting yesterday that BHP Billiton have taken the decision to switch their main listing from London to Sydney. FTSE 100 company and not short of profits and cash. Many reasons cited but increase value being one of them.
