Revised Movie Slate till Year End1 Sep 2021 22:58
Just caught the news on Maverick sliding forward on the play lists but it slides directly into the spot for Mission Impossible 7 and I see Ghostbusters Afterlife has taken the opportunity to also slid sideways one week to give it a clear opening, away from any competition.
My own personal thoughts are that Paramount should perhaps have waited to see what the new Bond film makes at the Box Office and then the follow on from Venom - Carnage. They could then have made their decision.
I've tweaked my own play list accordingly and it only covers the more likely larger draw films. Many inbetweeners also that have not been included.
Revised list.
This Friday – Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Marvel)
30th September 2021 – No Time To Die (Bond)
1st October 21: The Many Saints of Newark
15th October 2021 – Venom, Carnage (Marvel)
15th October 21 – Halloween Kills (Halloween sequel)
21 October 21: Dune
22nd October 21: The French Despatch
22nd October 2021 – Last Night In Soho
22nd October 2021 – Boss Baby 2: Family Business (UK)
5th November 2021 – Eternals (Marvel)
12th November 21 - Cry Macho (Eastwood)
19th November 2021 – Ghostbusters: Afterlife
26th November 21 – House of Gucci (Lady Gaga)
10th December 2021 – West Side Story
17th December 2021 – Spider-Man: No Way Home
22nd December 2021 – The King's Man
22nd December 21 – Matrix 4
I suppose the key question will be whether there enough in there to see us further improve over the next 6 month period and including these ones already. Bearing in mind that for the last 6 monthly we were closed for roughly 4 months.
Then with these films already banked and contributing cumulatively since end June.
25th June – Fast and Furious 9
9th July 2021 – Black Widow
16th July 2021 – The Croods 2 – a New Age
30th July 2021 – Jungle Cruise
30th July 21 – The Suicide Squad
30th July 21 Spirit Untamed
13th August 2021 – Free Guy
27th August 2021 – Candyman
Cruis, less revenues, means less profits and more debt is what you quoted.
Not so, it would only mean more debt if they didn't make profit and had the need to take on more funding.
JG68 - The Cineplex share price actually went up marginally today.
