Another excellent RNS this morning. This is getting towards "too good to be true" territory, although I can't see how. NAV increasing nicely, significant additional revenue streams, new capacity coming onstream, existing capacity increased, dividend confirmed at 2.0p xd 18th March for payment 9th April. And the prospect of a further discounted fundraise for more of the same. It's difficult to find anything not to like. Carry on!!

There are plenty of shares offering similar dividends to this, but not many that offer a combination of relatively high yield and relatively low risk. I'm in, hoping the offer isn't scaled back too severely. GLA. K

Perhaps this will cheer people up a bit. From Shares Magazine yesterday, published before the recent offer announcement:
"THE SHARE PRICE return delivered by Supermarket Income REIT (SUPR) over the last 11 months may not be enough to quicken the pulses but a very steady performance along with a reliable inflation-linked income stream looks attractive after the recent volatility in the bond market.
Results for the six months to 31 December 2020 (2 Mar) reflect the series of acquisitions the company has made with rental income up 76% and pre-tax profit increasing 323.1%. The company raised £200 million to invest in a pipeline of assets in October 2020.
The portfolio’s weighting towards omnichannel supermarkets – located in good locations and able to fulfil online orders and serve shoppers in-store – has been a winning strategy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Investment bank Jefferies says: ‘Earnings per share were up 12% to 2.8p with the dividend per share (DPS) rising with inflation to 2.93p (+1.7%) with progress made on dividend cover, whilst post-period end acquisitions should see DPS
fully covered on an earnings basis which is a positive step.’"

I can appreciate why people are unhappy about this fundraise, I would have preferred to purchase shares through my ISA too. However, the dilution is minimal, and as I assume most people are here for the dividend yield, it gives the opportunity to buy shares (or more shares) at a small discount, thus slightly improving the yield overall. As someone pointed out, the company pays out all it's capital in dividends, so it will always pay to have funds available to take advantage of these offers as they arise from time to time. Longer-term, shareholders should see benefits.

Received my alert message from PrimaryBid at 12.18 so I think they've been a bit slow off the mark! I'll be buying in my Fund & Share a/c then bed & ISA in the next FY.

The only thing you can be sure of with TRP is don't worry if you miss one cash call because there'll be two more along in a minute. And anyone who thinks Asher is getting rich here should look back at TRP's drilling history. He must be the most unlucky explorer in the history of oil exploration. To be fair to the man, much of it has been with his own funds.

Can anybody see the share offer on PrimaryBid? I haven't received an alert so logged in to the site but no sign of it?

I took out half of my original investment to derisk last August at £9.15. I've been kicking myself ever since. What's happening here must be pretty scary just now for the army of SMT devotees many of whom seemed to assume this could only go up. Nothing ever does. I think in the mid to long term this is a healthy correction and if it drops back into the £9's (I don't expect it to but you never know) I'll start buying again.

SP pushed on through £1.75 now.

The market seems happy despite the prospect of a big rise in corporation tax in a couple of years time.

Me too. This looks to be an excellent fit with the existing business and will hopefully contribute significantly to future growth. As you point out though, the bit that's missing from this announcement is where the money comes from. I get that part of it is in new paper, which looks fine, but more info re the cash element would have been useful, for reassurance. Great news on the face of it though, I think this is very positive going forward.

Excellent news this morning, additional revenue stream via National Grid's new Dynamic Containment Service. Even if the price drops to less than the current bonanza, it'll help with dividend cover re previous topic. Already had a positive effect on the sp.

Solid results as expected, TW always err on the side of caution which is one of the many legacies of 2008. Better that than over-promising and under-delivering, as so many companies do. The only fly in the ointment for me is the statement about reduced build cost inflation this year, which I think is optimistic. Excellent news re the divi restoration, that's the engine that will drive the SP rise through the coming year as people do the maths and work out what that means in terms of yield. Record order book, great PR at relatively low cost for remedial work post-Grenfell, ordinary dividend resumed with the future prospect of special dividends being restored. Happy days are here again!
