Buck has wasted $200 mn and got almost nothing. As a result of his brilliance, MATD is a tiny $30 mn mcap company with 2 wells and pretty much non existent oil production

Realistically, selling anything material in Ukraine these days is hardly possible. And no doubt any deal re FXPO can be easily blocked by those who have created all these problems to the company

They have just taken away $80 mn of VAT refund. They initiated a bankruptcy, arrested management, started criminal investigations, etc

They clearly have a plan. And that plan does not include letting somebody else to get hold of the company

And what happens with these “shares” if shareholders vote against the placing?

A majority of shares in the latest placing haven’t even been issued so far, let alone been traded

Many of Barob’s investments have actually performed extremely badly

SFOR and FXPO are just two most vivid examples

ENW and JKX a few years ago, as far as I remember

And I am sure at least a few others as well

I reckon that’s why he doesn’t publish a list of stocks any longer

I wonder what rampers’ reaction will be once there is an announcement on FO deal’s details. Once it will become clear there is no game changer for MATD but plenty of dilution for its shareholders

And what will be their next sweet spot?

In the next few weeks MATD will remain a 1p stock

And for the most part of 2026 it will be the same, as there are no catalysts, which can substantially affect the share price

The only hope here is one-two short-term spikes in the share price, to around 2p, possibly just for a few days (or even hours)

That will be a good exit point for those who have by now understood what this company is all about

I think Zhevago’s base case is that he will sue Ukraine after the assets have been taken over

It would take years but it can pay off in the end

Then there were five years of legal disputes in several jurisdictions. As a result, the parties settled the dispute for several hundred million USD

Plenty of fantasies, delusions and wishful thinking but no critical thinking whatsoever

But before that, you will have to go through a highly discounted capital raise, which by itself can half the current price

The downside is 100%, as the asset will be nationalized in one way or another

Those desperately waiting for a miracle RNS (this time for sure!), which will solve their problems caused by poor investment decisions, please answer these questions. And try to be realistic

1) If MATD benefits from being a producer, why the share price is now only a friction of what it was before drilling of the producing wells?

2) Why doubling of the oil price has had pretty much zero effect on MATD's share price? Do you know any other oil producers which shares haven't not moved together with an oil price?

3) Why do you think any reasonable buyer shall offer MATD a substantial premium to the current market cap at a time when MATD desperately needs funds to develop the asset further? Who needs whom more in the current circumstances? Who has more negotiating power?

4) Why do you think it takes so much time to close the deal?

5) If there is no farmout deal in the next few months, what do you think MATD will do? What consequences will it have on the share price?

We are finally below 40p. Still, plenty of room for further going down

I can’t see how an auditor signs off on 2025 FS without this raise

This means the raise cab be done any time soon

And it should be substantial to allow FXPO to continue its operations till at least the end of 2026

If half of the raise it taken by Zhevago, then with a right discount it can be doable

The longer the wait, the less likely the deal and the worse the terms. You have no clue how M&A works in real life

Guys, where are you investing the proceeds from WG? Please share some ideas worth having a look at

Also, in the face of a bankruptcy, no sane buyer would buy anything from FXPO. Because in the bankruptcy process all such deals can be pretty easily annulled by FXPO’s creditors, assets returned back to FXPO but no cash returned to the buyers

I reckon he is at 70-80% loss today, so perhaps talking about “Russia’s demise” makes his life slightly less miserable
