Renewable energy 'capacity factors' are rarely much more than 55% for biomass plants so I wouldn't expect much different for EQT. This is still better than wind at 35% and solar 25%

The only negative as far as I know is SHELL's (and BP's) back tracking on renewables generally. This seems to have been greenwashed out with the excuse of the full scale invasion of Ukraine by an entity called .. cant remember.

SHELL have closed their few ITM H2 fueling stations explaining that they need to upgrade them to be HGV ready. Nobody has yet committed to building enough of these in the UK yet in contrast to what is now mandated across Europe, and already happening https://h2-map.eu/

I used to believe that production of blue hydrogen would help scale up the "H2 economy", but that was before the climate crisis accelerated, as it seems to have done. So too before I realized quite how much energy is required to separate H2 from methane and sequester the CO2, not to mention the risks of methane and CO2 leakage during and after the process. If you want figures, go look at the plans for H2H Saltend where 600Mb of windfarm leccy will be used in the production of 1.8GW worth of blue by 2030. Maybe this is part of a much bigger plan, but begs the question who is signing off for this? Meanwhile completion of Norfolk Boreas and immediate connection to green H2 generation would be a major win-win. Shall I get my cheque book out?

Part of the problem is the provision of electrical connections to the grid. Directly generating hydrogen is an alternative. There is clearly going to be a market for it, but not necessarily in the UK judging by lack of ambition and wedded to 'blue' H2 stupidity.

H2 fueling facilites will be required at major ports in UK to allow RAPID refuelling for onward journeys within the UK, but that makes sense with more European trucks going HFC.
