Nikkei 225 off another 6.43% in Premarket; worse that Black Monday in '87 i think i read.....

NF, i think the drop on open to 15 dead lasted but a few seconds (minute) before steadying at 15.5p. Looks like that on the chart, but in practice, i don't see any buy going through. Have adjusted my LO to 15.5p for 25k. See if i'm lucky. I need the NYSE to tank badly in last 15 minutes prior to close. A further drop in the Nikkei may be the catalyst.....

I thought 17p was on the optimistic side Aim. SP spiked down to day low of 15p just after open. So have set a Limit Order to buy at 15.25. It might just catch a similar spike tomorrow. The US would have to tank further, but is looking like turning north now. Tho that can alter between now & 9pm close.

Yes, the reaction to US open hasn't been so bad. My strategy NF is to make a few more buys at 25,000 each to get my average down to below 20p. But, yes, i want a bargain price. As someone said earlier, this could take a day or so to shake out. So am still in watch n wait mode......

T, i read over the weekend an article that there is a very large amount of US PE money waiting for opportunities as Capita. AH has done 2 turnarounds, and both have been sold off after the job done.....

PJ, i have started picking up on a few articles as that. An emergency Fed cut now, which is bound to come in Sept anyhow, would turn this rout around completely. Still watching n waiting here.....

NF, those trading on margin may well be scr**ed. All my p/f hugely off (obviously). But i've ridden a good few of these 'corrections' and in the end things return to normal. Worst thing to do is close out on positions now. Hold your nerve Pilgrims. For those with some cash in the till, this is a fantastic opportunity. The trick is guessing where the bottom is. So many bargains coming available for growth or income investors.

Don't normally like to mention other shares too much, but on a day like this, who cares. Any of you folks seen any irresistable bargains on your radar's?

US indice's off between 2 - 5%. Fear we may break that 15p low when open.

Also looking at LGEN at 206 for divi income. Cash is king at the moment folks......

@Culley, yep, but with a med term view i can't see these being a bad buy at these levels, to tuk away. Or trade for a bounce to 20 for those traders. Again, wouldn't be surprised if we see some Director purchases soon.....

NF, do you have any data on shares available for short selling?

Deutsche Bank cuts Capita price target to 30 (35) pence - 'buy'

NEx, "This is a screaming buy in my view!" It is. All my shares have bounced from their bottoms. But i feel more grief post 2:30pm. Nikkei of a huge 13.5%. US open will feed off that. LSE shares may test todays low's mid aft. 15p for CPI. Still think it's a waiting game at the moment......

Exactly NF. We sold Cap One for £207m. Market Cap now at 15.85p is £261m. So what we have left is worth £54m? £180m cash drops into the till in a couple of weeks.

If it's not market related then why are fine companies the likes of Aviva & L&G way down. See good few green boxes this morning. Always the fools come out when things are down. Quite sad really.

Look upon this as a God given opportunity to buy/top up. Just not quite yet. Wait. Watch US futures for LSE direction. Also FED. By April '25 these prices will be seen as bargains. Not only Capita. If you are looking for divi income, there are some excellant beaten down companies too. Lock in a 9/10% yield. Buyers market.....IMO
