Here's an article some here might find interesting. Is there a for sale sign hanging over UK Plc? It made me wonder how 'vulnerable' Capita might be to foreign takeover. Zero debt, strong revenue streams, new dynamic CEO with a good turnaround plan etc. Wasn't PE looking at Serco the other month? Food for thought....

Daltry, i got into Meta & Coin a year or two back, so nicely in the blue there. But have to admit to not knowing much about how all their tech works. Especially Coin, but i wanted some exposure to crypto. Yes, in our ISA's too....

Plus dalrty, think of this. When Henry Ford built his motor car, nobody could possibly have forseen how that would change the world. Draw analogies with air travel or the world wide web. Point being, from the instigation of these new technologies, they all changed the world for the good of all.

With the internet, most of the Mag7 companies are based on it. From oil companies dominating commerce to tech companies in less than one generation.

I strongly believe, with our CEO Adolfo Hernandez, Capita will be one of the leading companies to benefit from this new world....

@Sim, it all sounds like science fact is rapidly catching up to science fiction then eh.....

It must be of extra interest to you as someone who has spent their working life in tech of one sort or another. Even me, who doesn't even have a smartphone, has the strong impression with AI we are at the beginning of something special. Am sure it will touch all our lives in ways we can not even imagine.

@Tren, thanks for your answer. When AH was working at AWS he must have seen what was coming down the line re GenAI, so saw what a huge opportunity a company ilke Capita had with this new tech. Move to the Cloud & integrate GenAI.

Agree gotno, and am sure AH will avhieve this. But i was reading an article yesterday which detailed that the big players develloping AI will soon have spent a massive $600 Billion between them. They will obviously want a good return on that investment, so the AI Capita will need will not come cheap. Go forward 3 - 5 years, and i don't see many companies that won't have adopted AI in some way or other. Is GenAI going to be the game changer that the internet was pre 2000? The more i read, the more it [AI] feels like it is.

Lordy, i prefer comments on the actual company or people in it. This inane study of the share price movements, or predictions thereof, are just so bl**dy trivial. A bit of banter is ok, but ffs, some folks are seriously heading for green boxes the way they are acting.....

Aim, didn't you predict 19.10p close last night? That was a touch optomistic eh? Think this focus on the minute by minute share price levels is getting a tad boring. Suppose traders, or those who pretend to be, might find it of interest

Announced last Nov, before AH. Am sure AH said recently that the intention was to develop these services, through the integration of GenAI, then roll that service out to existing and new clients. One fantastic product, sold several times, therefore cutting costs.

I know they administer the Royal Mail Pension, only one i know of tho. Maybe a plan might be to integrate GenAI into this product and then offer it to other companies....

@Sim, you mean a company that has a new CEO that previously worked at one of these AI companies, and who has a plan to transform said company into a high tech version of it's former self?

Am spending a little weekend time in an effort to get my head around how GenAI will affect Capita. Some may (or not) find this article of interest. It details how AI has tremendous potential to create efficiencies in healthcare systems. Referances AWS. Sure CPI have some NHS contracts that will benefit in the way the article suggests...

Althought this article does not referance Capita itself, it gives some explanation to what AH meant recently when he said 'this is the world i come from'. He is obviously planning to apply these AI driven products to Capita. For my money (literally) we couldn't have a better CEO to lead us into a very exciting future.
