Excellant find DARK. But am not too sure about the practice of teaching people to throw axes about. Having said that i quite fancy a go myself. Certain Oxford types on here have had me reaching for my axe of late.....

That's odd James, as companies being turned around are exactly the type most serious investors look out for....IMV.

Take for a good example investors looking at RR last October at a SP of 198p. 460p now. Many companies have gone through turnarounds with new CEO's, where the SP has multi bagged. Canny investors who spot the opportunity early have done very well.....

SP looks to have no strength at all, IMO. None of my shares look strong. Like they are all waiting for a direction. Ebbed off to 16.3 now. We are in the Doldrums....

Just looking at my monitor all of my p/f is up, but not by much. Certainly not risen as much as i expected after Nikkei +10%. FTSE has just turned red. I don't think this is all over yet. US futures not too sparky either.

What's this massive contract in 2025? Anyone?

Well done Tren, that's quite a pile! My plan A was to buy in lots of 25,000 circ low 15's. But may have to raise that TP. Nice buy Norris, i dithered as thought it was going to 15p. Perhaps we are not out of the water yet, and i will get my chance...

Although part of me is saying just buy the damn things and tuck them away. Do i really need to 'guess' the bottom if i intend holding long term. When the SP is sat at 50p, will it matter that i bought at 16p and not 15p.....

When you read more about the US NFP numbers, it wasn't anything like so bad. Not a lot more than a seasonal fluctuation. From the articles i read anyway.....

NF, SP back to about where we both bought in at. 16.90p

Think the opportunity to get in again was in the 15.5/6 range, which has now passed. May have to revise upwards a tad to add more here......

Thanks PJ. Am a night owl, so will be interesting to see how the Nikkei opens in relation to price discrepancy in futures prices. Yes, i hope the LSE Market does open lower, and CPI with it. I will be down on existing positions (on paper), but my piggy bank is ready to take full advantage of the opportunity the Market has given to add.

Am looking here, and LGEN & VALE, for top up or position.....

Good quotes there PJ, i agree. Yes, the stock markets 'chase' each other down. It seems that way anyway. Me, i'm thinking more carnage tomorrow. These things never really last only one day before sanity kicks in. My TP on CPI is low 15's. In Mrs Kippers ISA am hoping to pick up some LGEN at 206 for the divi, she's much more a 'risk off' person than i. Interest rates dropping & i can lock in c10% for her. Interesting times if you have cash. Dismal if you are on margin. Can see NF & Aim really enjoying this; traders love volatility, as you say.....

Yer, i remember saying to my 'advisor' that i wanted out. But, as it happens his only good advice, was to hold on. I fired him soon after that! Reports saying the Fed may drop rates in US soon. Before September. Wouldn't be surprised.

One hour to go & US indices not looking at all peachy.... All eyes here (LSE) on Nikkei. If off, we may see a hit....

Was the same in '87 JG. I was just starting my share ownership life & couldn't believe i could be over 50% down in the 2 Funds i was advised to buy. All within a few day's too. Totally devasteted that i had been stupid enough to 'loose' all that money my wife & i could i'll afford to. Didn't sell and i got my money back after a few years. Nasty time tho, that taught me a lesson....
