We may just have to agree to disagree on the use of data. Where we do agree is that Capita has a great future, it's just tediously frustrating waiting. At least JL has left the building and we are in the hands of AH (&team)....take care

So what i see from these data are that from 28/Feb/2019 Schroders held 97,559m shares in Capita. During the next 18 months to 30/Oct/2020, through the worst of Covid-19 & JL's tenure, they increased this by over 110% to 202,218m shares. By 31/Aug/2021 they reached 309,000m shares, an increase again of 50%. Holding peaked at 323,402m on 29/Sept/2023. March 2024 holding was a few mil under that peak. I know they sell/buy some now and again, which you can pick up in these data. You can see the cost/share coming down as they 'trade' their way from 1.42 to now be at 0.69. They won't want a sell out to PE at anything less surely.

On 22/Mar/2024 they had c£42m in Capita, with the SP sat at c13p. In 2019 their 101m shares were worth £165m.

Useless information to some, but NF wasn't to know that. Same with me with charts. Swazzers can draw all the lines in the world but it's Dutch to me. Horses for courses......

Am expecting the Capita One deal to go through, as i think most are. Am also thinking/hoping for a 'bounce', and have decided to sell off my 18.06p's into it or buy again circ17.5p if SP ebb's off. Then flog both into a C1Rally. Think i will feel better if that works out. But, like most of my strategies, it rarely does. Good luck......

Just a further observation. I feel NF is rather a 'marmite' character. Maybe it's not always the point he is trying to make, but the way in which he makes it. I find him fine, not alawys agreeing, but have never found him disrespectful towards me.

Hex, i have looked back through my LSE posts but it cuts off at Jan. So can't find the exact details (unless NF still has it), but only from memory Schroders doubled their holding in CPI from 2019 until 2022, in various funds. These are very large amounts. Sorry am not able to quote you exact figures....

I think NF's 'data dump' was from his 7 day trial with Bloomberg. So obviously professional data that a pro would need to be trained to fully interpret. I just picked up on the basic stuff, of which the above caught my eye.

Looking at it differtly tho, Schroders must have been buying in the 30p to 50p range. So all those years of training to be a pro analyst at Schroders wasn't well spent was it. A good few of us here did no worse, and we are all amateurs......

It does beg the question tho, to me anyway, that if the data on a Bloomberg is worthless and therefore of no contribution to investment analysis, then why is it so damned expensive?

It was never going to make the differance to me investing in Capita, but i was able to see through the institutional holdings, that Schroders kept increasing their position all throughout Covid & JL's supposed turnaround. I consider that useful, but if others don't, then that's fine. Maybe it's just comforting to know that the largest shareholder kept increasing. But it would only form part of any due dil/analysis on any company; simply part of the jigsaw.

By the way, if i do happen to call anyone on here pal, friend, mate, pilgrim please don't take it literally. It's just a colloquialism......

@Tren, if i go again at 17.5 i have decided to take your steer and sell them (plus thoses at 18.06) for a snap profit on any rise post good RNS. 1; I have too many for me now. &2; i just want to see a profit from my CPI shares, even if it just comes to £100 or so.....

Sold a few VOD this morning as just got sooooooo fed up waiting for 'the big rise'. Came out with a paltry £217 profit, but boy do i feel better .... .... ....

Actually, while i'm feeling in the explanation mood. Sometimes i write about other investments i have; recently VOD & LGEN. The reason i do this is not to rile the Puritans on here who only want CPI comments. It is because i 'feel' a good few on here are much more experienced than i, & so their comments relative to those companies would be welcome. Am certainly not intending to 'take over' the board. We all here have an interest in shares, so why not the odd comment on other companies now and again. So long as it doesn't detract from being a Capita message board predominantly.....

@Hex, thankyou for those comments. I do try to inform the board, and like to be informed (as okey earlier). Your posts/comments i find of excellant quality; you seem like someone who 'thinks before they speak'.

A good few comments on here recently are born, to me, from frustration; about the sale of C1 & the SP generally. Lets hope we LTH don't have to wait too much longer
