It could be Macy, am not totally understanding of how the sale really works. Whether we get something, or nothing at all, the urgency is to get shot of the £20m (£35m?) drain on cash. I think if we were anywhere near a conclusion on this, it would have been flagged at H1 or Yellow....

But, Aim is right. That is a train coming down the track sometime, we don't know when. But FCF by 31st.December is nailed on. Plus £250m savings (-£55m exit fee's) Might be flagged at Dec Update. .....

Am assuming there may be a one off termination payment, but it could be anything (or nothing). Best i can find in H1 is......

Regulated Services includes a number of ‘manage for value’ businesses where we are exploring exits.

The largest of the non-core businesses, is the closed book Life & Pensions business, for which we are making good

Unless i am missunderstanding this.......

My point is that the sale of pension could yield £5m sale proceeds or £30m (on top of the £20m 'drain'). Will have to fiddle through H1 numbers to see what they are and extrapolate from there based on % sale from other similar sales.

Re; Call Centres. Your savings = agree. Plus, the way AI is improving all the time some of those calls may not require a HITL.....

@Aim, agreed. Re; eventual sale of final pension business. Estimated at annual drain on cash flow of between £20m - £35m. Is there any indication of a possible sale price that might be achieved do you know?

While i can't recommend your post Dalt, i do get your point. Not gone over to your 'dark side' yet, but some degree of frustration is creeping. I have my full quota now so will come back to them in Nov/Dec. My comments about dissapointment regarding the presentation can be clarified with an analogy.

You have your team. You have been a season ticket holder for a good few years. It's the Premier League and the season is half way through. Things ain't going so well. New manager with a great reputation in Europe. But, we are 6th from bottom. We are used to winning silverware. The team seems to be playing well but we drop silly points. Like i said in my first post about this Tren, it wasn't the numbers for me; they were always going to be as H1. I've seen a good few AH vid clips and he is always super enthusiastic. Just struck me (& some others) that he was a little 'detuned'. That's all i was attempting to convey. Maybe he's jusr ubermiffed about the Ofgem thing and also Capitas biggest shareholder selling 3% of their holding. Both out of his control. But yes, so far as the numbers go, it's on track (i think/hope)

@Tren, bought in @ 300 & @ 250 respectively. Still plan on those going on run up to Dec Update rally (if there is one). SP does appear to have steadied @ c236/238. Will only go again if we see c220 region. Was not enamoured with YS presentation, so am standing back a little from the buy button...

@Go, all i was expecting was a 'sign' that something was progressing well re new contracts or even the sale of last Closed Book. I get what you mean, it's just regurgateted H1. It was his chance to rally the troops or team at half time and i think he dropped the ball a tad. For me anyway, he wasn't the 'usual' Adolfo.

Ditto Trisor, am not selling either, may buy. Am just a bit deflated by today. Was really looking forward to hearing something new; it was all business as usual.

Anyway, i did get enough to confirm my view that the level of SP is the product of short sellers & market manipulation. He is a man with a plan and my wagon is still hitched to his.....

@H, whenever i've seen him he's seemed very enthusiastic, smiling, happy. That's a big part of his job, he's the boss. Don't get me wrong, i'm still a huge AH fan, but just thought he was off his game today. Not what he said, more what he didn't say
