Ah....now that is a tricky one.
I find it quite impossible to forecast the sp movement an hour ahead. Charts, Ouija, rumours, all useless because we are in uncharted territory. Markets are twitching and the smallest tic tic could send everything into a tailspin.
I've done quite well since March, assuming no rises will be sustained. Easy.
Psychologically, many feel the epidemic is over. They, and others, think that opening shops will repair the damages.
Staying in cash for a week or two. Good luck with your gamble. I actually hope you do well.
I'm just not sure about this game going forward.
I'm certain we will have another big correction. And I want cash when it happens. I might be wrong. No one knows.

I've been in ( and sometimes out) of PMO for years and Friday's upward travel was more like a regular company with good news. Early spike, profit taking, afternoon rise and minor sell off before the bell.
Quite normal. But very un-pmo-esque.
Historically, the sell off would have been more robust and the end of 'days' figure quite different.
Perhaps a good omen for the week ahead.

I have always preferred investing long term.
Current conditions called for a change.
I go for the 3% or more and during this period have been successful. If I had held ( pmo, tlw, barc, aml, TRX, et) I would have made little.
Clearly commission and stamp duty are necessary costs and once I pocketed 39.00....felt a bit daft having invested hours watching.
Everyone to their own.
Hopefully the market becomes less volatile and real investing becomes worthwhile once again.

Of course you are quite correct.....play or don't play....but it's their ball.
Elsewhere, there are people saving lives, writing beautiful music, penning uproariously funny tales, growing beautiful fruit, making wine and love, in either order, and helping others across the street.
Such a shame some are obsessed with poison.

Perhaps a legally constructed group action might challenge the FCA's decision to be indecisive.
The points you make, are, imho, perfectly valid.
We can accept it. Investigate it. Challenge it if the evidence points that way.
But it can be either pointless or hugely frustrating. Perhaps the Company have considered the issue and our first contact would be better aimed there.
I had personal experience of the FCA and it's prevarication/myopia. Quite nasty when taken to task. Received an unsolicited call one Friday evening from a named head of that bunch. Lacked charm.
