Similar experience, Bhants only with a wedding. We are consoling a recently widowed friend who has become estranged from one son who is to be wed shortly. Our friend has been told she can attend the service but not the celebration later.

I've been helping to dispose of some of her late husbands share holdings, one of whoch was CCL. He held 7000, all bought pre Covid so big money lost but she wants them sold.

We actually became friend with these folk on the 2017 Arcadia Worldie. K

When I retired at 53, I volunteered for Age Concern. I used to drive the minibus picking up guests from the villages around Tunbridge Wells. One nice lady left me £500 in her will, I donated it to Age Concern.

YR, I understand Saga are looking for someone to operate their ocean vessels or even buy them. They are nice ships, a perfect fit to replace P&O's ageing Aurora and Arcadia.

I mentioned last week that my mate in Finland ( a ships officer) had said Viking were talking to Saga. K

I have a neighbour who works as a debt trader for one of the big US banks. This time last year they were buying CCL debt at 60 cents on the Dollar. Just now , she can't trade it as there is no margin as the debt is hardly discounted.

I pretty well agree with Bots comments and I'm holding. Her Ladyship wants me to sell hers when they reach £14 as that will double her money.

Just one observation on Bots comment, I think Lloyds might double to £1 by end 2025.
