My pal from Dallas TX is on his way to join the Carnival Breeze in Galveston. He booked a suite 3 weeks ago at 35% below published price with $1000 OBC.

Maybe things not so rosy as there are lots of discounts offered over there.

It's a company called Advanced Oncotherapy which is quite advanced in developing a new proton beam laser technology for cancer treatment. AVO shares were suspended on AIM and fell foul of the time limitation to resist. A great project but business run by doctors not professional managers.

Likely it will be bought out and value to shareholders lost or seriously diluted.

No big deal, I only ever had £500 invested. K

One of my "penny shares" has just been deleted from AIM but the company still exists and will soon receive funding from new investor to develope the business.

Presumably I'm still a shareholder, if as a going concern , it still exists.

What's your take friends as I'm getting conflicting opinions on several boards.

Bhants, They call it Cruise Club Cashback.

Earlier this month they were offering Triple Cashback so it became Bonus Cruise Club Cashback and its deducted from the invoice.

The day that ended P&O came out with their 5% offer. Bolsover said they didn't know about it, which I doubt them being their main agent. K

YR , P&O are tricky with their offers too.

Last week, I booked 35 nights on Iona at a good price with 3% cash back from Bolsover.

The day after receiving confirmation they come out with 5% off all cruises deal.

Irate Ken then rings Bolsover who contact P&O who basically say tough. So just before I ring our contact at P&O, I do the sums.

For the 5% offer, they've actually jacked the price by £450 pp and reduced OBC by £300 per cabin. Used car dealers are less slippery! K

IWHF. Yes agree but it's not a given. It has to be voted to continue each year. Should Carnival ever halt it, there would be mutiny but they've become so penny pinching, it wouldn't shock me. K

12Roses, We were on board Britannia this time last year, we overnighted in Helsinki, a great cruise, enjoy.

I'm selling at £12, I've held CCL for 15 years and done well out of it but I'm fed up with it and can use the money better on an income stock. K

IWHF. If it results in regulars , fed up with the penny pinching , jumping ship, then it might be considered ill advised.

Would we buy 2 large G&Ts and 2 Scotches in the bar before dinner? No and their drinks package is not worth it for us. K
