the whole market is getting a kicking, tons of shares have dropped with no bounce.
fact is most money is trapped in the market drop, which means there is no major buying across all stocks.
Saga are in a great place, they have addresses their revenue issues, and they have a client base with expendable cash.

yeah, looks like Saga rolling out the equity release and the over 50's sat on properties that have made more money than their pension pots are capitalising.
expect alot of money from this market segment to be then pouring back into saga holidays.

@Grimrip44, all good buddy, and to be honest glad you challenged my workings to make sure I'm doing the best/correct thing.

looking at the market we need the pension funds to start loading, as other funds (hedge and private) have no spare cash or have their monies locked into shares that are down. PI will be holding their breath, but will be putting money in their pension pots.

looking at some market yesterday it appears the tech sector is about to brick it again, and energy sector is now overweighed. looks like some retail companies and tangible asset companies will be the order of the day for the next few months.
Also travel sector looks like it will do well, my focus is Saga Group, with the over 50's having paid off their mortgages having expendable cash or looking at equity release.

the problem in the market is there is little free cash floating about to buy stocks.
when the pension funds get a top up from peoples paying into their pensions we will see more buying.

Also pat on the back me, we landed in the 720 region as worked out.

@fdbcpoly, it is a gold mine. for reference i've been working with marketing firms that are in the process of launching big campaigns to target the over 50 market, as deep research show they are the main consumer driving force, as the under 50 market are most affected by cost of living.
ive done a lot more research than just looking at company reports, the underlying market that will drive this share price is growing and fast.

the majority of companies are operating with tons of debt currently due to the pandemic and ukraine.
so, in context Saga are the same as everyone, and this nulls out debt as a weighted factor.
however, in their favour is having a customer base that actually do have expendable cash, and less affected by the cost of living and interest rates.
Secondly to that, as alot over 50's have paid off their mortages, and sat on massive profits from the insane rise in house prices since the 1990's, they will be looking at equity release on their homes to fund holidays and the good life.
even a bad captain can sail along way with strong winds.

Saga knows their market, its the mid to premium sector, and there are millions of over 50's that fit this.
fact is, the over 50's will pay a but more for peace of mind.

its the averaging out of the past 4 testing levels of peaks and troughs.
then we factor in volumes of buys from the lowest level to current to understand the profit hang, this is where if you push down those in profit (PS, funds, Algos) will sell after a sustained drift of more than 3 days.

the only demographic really spending currently are the over 50's.
with a massive segment having paid off their mortgages, kids left home, and looking to get the most out of life after lockdowns.
they are booking all the holidays under the sun, and also getting as much insurance in place with the NHS collapsing.
Saga already confirmed they are in profit, and their debt is being reduced fast.

Asos are doing good work, however there still appears to be a drop lined up.

@MarkBellUK, analysts are just are useless, if they are saying Buy, then expect that behind the scenes someone at HSBC is trying to dump position and need the market held up while it happens.

@MarkBellUK, the banks are morons or crooks, has the constant failing of the banking system not be a clear enough message, wont trust a thing those feckless wonders say or do

at the moment bank of mu and dad is being left alone, as the housing market is stagnant and interest rates are high the chances of first time buyers is being push to next year.
As such, looking at sales data and speaking to companies operating in the retirement segment they are seeing lots of revenue.
the over 50's market are people that have not really known hardships as baby boomers lived through the greatest period of wealth growth for the average person, and lockdowns was a massive shock to their systems, hence why they are buying holidays and spunking their collect wealth now on the good life.

more profit takers jumping ship, strong buy around the 680 to 720 region.
let this cool off.

think laterally, the only segment of the market sat on big pots of expendable cash is the over 50's market.
they have houses paid off, big pension pots, and passive incomes.
Saga is in a great position, being a solid well known brand.
While all the consumer brands are getting a kicking, Saga are doing very well with holiday bookings and insurance.
Massive profit opportunity here.
