My simple understanding is that revenue attached to contracts that span different years has to be accounted for in a particular way .

We know we received 10mm from Cenevos for Searose in 2023 and 25mm FSS monies also in 2023. If neither were included then the reported revenues could have been 65mm.

Therefore for sentiment reasons alone, I am happy that AR fought long and hard to get revenue of 86.91 recognised at this stage . To me that is more palatable than 65mm and an explanation.

As has been the case for 18 months, this is still all about finance. We need working capital to service contracts and bid for new ones.

The cash at bank will not last indefinitely and the refinancing becomes more urgent with each passing day. All still to play for, but time constraints are now an additional pressure.

Let's hope the new chancellor grasps the urgency of the situation and the much touted UKEF financing is finally approved. It is no suprise that finance is required, ramping up to 1500 staff was always going to create a gaping hole in the balance sheet. What has suprised me is the lack of govt support thus far.

I am OK with the figures for 2023, a vast improvement on 2022 and pleased with the increase of Searose contract and 2024 numbers being in line with quoted numbers.
