Hi Truimph not NHS attitude, govt attitude and not that of Sage , Whitty or Valance. I think this dispute will be resolved and quickly . We have no idea what the dispute is over . We have no idea if the supply of Promate is adequate for the year , guess that depends on what happens after lockdown, vaccine efficacy , variants , vaccine supply , proper testing in whatever guise for those entering UK etc , it's all speculative. A definite crap day for holders but you've been around a long time and know how common such disputes are in every business. Focus with ever increasing headcount on private sales UK and INT sales. Down but optimistic . K

I read posts from those who I know are invested and didn't appear like a pack of hyenas to talk the share down. We know Mullis is conservative and we also know he will do everything within his power to not be taken advantage of. I fully support him and the company. Do not expect details of the precise area of dispute as they will not be and cannot be forthcoming whist possible litigation may need to take place. He and Nova have proven time after time they can deliver and fast. My monies on this looking very different very soon. Fundamentals rule this company doesnt need placing, this company was used by UNICEF for a 10mm contract in Jan and needs just one decent contract to be back on track with Angel's and Numis's blue sky predictions, one decent contract and that is now what they will be focused on. Afternoon V , in winter the hospitals are full of patients with severe flu / pneumonia , the last thing you want to give them is covid too , they have to be isolated from each other.

I have read everyone's posts and just a couple of simple observations.
The government is reliant upon the vaccine rollout success to open up society.
Both Whitty and Valance have made their reservations clear. I to date have seen no comprehensive data surrounding longevity of antibodies after been vaccinated at 3 months 6 months etc. It is too soon to know but looking at Chile it does not bode well. Looking at Europe who came out of lockdown earlier then us, then the situation is far from rosy. Winterplex a supposed big earner was not utilised at all in the UK as we were in lockdown. Nova sold vast quantities of Winterplex to the DHSc it was part of the Sept 29th contract , they had to produce and deliver x every week for 14 weeks as they also had to with numerous other products. Just isolating the Winterplex for a moment , what was its shelf life , can it be used next winter , because rest assured flu has not miraculously vanished it will be back with a vengence once lockdown is lifted. Then there has to be a test to differentiate between flu and covid. Whose test are the DHSc sitting on right now, ours. Who has stockpiled Promate the DHSc. These tests will be used dates permitting and those that use them the NHS will look to procure more.
They are relying on pushing testing into private practice as it is cheaper. I strongly believe for the reasons quoted in my lengthy mail yesterday that this dispute will resolve quickly. Obviously it revolves around either out of date stock , refusal to pay for Promate to replace other assays , refusal to pay or want refund on initial assays. The govt ordered them, Nova produced a set amt as stipulated in the contract each week for up to 14 weeks ,
If the govt then changes its mind and wants another product it highly probably stipulates they can swap out for others but there will be a clause about the notification required because of the manufacturing process involved. I have seen many such disputes and Mullis cannot disclose details and has to warn of worst case scenario , it would be dishonest not to and I do not doubt his integrity. From my viewpoint I think it will be extremely difficult to wriggle out of this contract but hell they will give it a go and Mullis has stood his ground.
I keep hearing 50 % loss of business that can change very quickly especially as his focus and that of his team will now be on INT sales. Ncyt are very lucky to have a silver circle lawyer inhouse again a very wise move by Mullus as to engage a firm such as H.Smith would cost an absolute fortune , his foresight has meant we are not exposed to such costs. I expect the Sp to be volatile for a few weeks and our lovely new never posted here before bot flies to increase activity.
The reasons I invested remain the same and hell yeah wish I'd sold at 12 but I wont be giving my shares away at this price , Nova train in repair shop having fancy new respray so it can it can hit the tracks running

Wrong board , Avct board have been pretty decent about the news we received and we should accord same courtesy back.

Ok thanks. So now out of contract the govt orders loads and its stockpiled. If they wanted to return previous tests there cant be many as contract awarded end of Sept and by Nov we heard rumbles of issues , so dont believe they kept ordering thousands of tests they couldn't use. Furthermore if it was the case then what has happened to those tests , where are they , are they still useable ? Could unicef avail , what were all the invoices we saw for ?

CRL , I thought contract renewal was nailed on there we differ. I 100% did not expect a legal dispute and the resultant market reaction albeit some of it knee jerk myself included . If someone could explain to me about Promate it would be most helpful.

Wilson my flip was tiny fraction of what I hold and it's back. I was out and I dont know about anyone else but no RNs appeared but the Sp started to move and rapidly.

The existing contract that is in dispute. Without doubt the govt is aware that numerous of it contracts are now coming under close scrutiny , the good law project has just been given the go ahead to pursue the award of one such large contract. The govt will not want further adverse publicity and it will be in their Interests to settle this dispute quickly. Without doubt Mullis going to market and informing us has , as he had to, had an immediate impact on the SP. It has though made it quite clear to the govt that Ncyt will not be cheated out of what they believe they are entitled to. I do not believe this will be an elongated process as it is in the best interests of both parties to settle amicably and fast. Without doubt this will have taken a lot of the focus of the board in the last few months , hence the statement from a deflated Mullis that it MAY, not it will impact 2021 earnings. Mullis now is totally aware private sales , ongoing NHS sales and International sales are his target market and focus will have been switched to this 100 % , hence the plethora of new roles. I find it quite disgraceful that people appear to try and instill fear. The more persistent these posters are the clearer it is that the motive is to drive the price down further for their own gain. It is unfortunately the name of the game , unscrupulous people exist in all walks of life. Fortunately in our private lives we can choose to walk away. It used to agitate me but now it has the reverse impact , I view it as fear on their behalf to be working the extra shifts on a share they arent invested in. The if it it bounces sell quick is a typical example. If you are sitting on a paper loss you need to e evaluate, do I believe in the fundamentals of this company or shall I sell, take a hit and try my luck elsewhere. I invest long term in companies, I didn't expect this news , nobody did , however it hasn't changed my belief in the company , they delivered on time , they then delivered PROmate at the govts request and have at every stage beaten major pharma's to market with their R and D products. Nobody has stopped this part of the business performing at this extraordinary level and I believe they will continue to do so. I am battered , a little bruised but will live to fight another day on this journey with this investment.

I flipped some . The company is cash rich , their R and D is superb, the private market will be huge. NHS not DHSc and one contract dispute will not impact sale of 550 products to them. Taken a huge hit , dislike the gloating on here , shooters out in force.
Actually feel for Mullis he has supported the UK govt amazingly and this is his reward after the govt has peed billions up the wall on crap tests and PPE. Think the SP will take a while to settle but it will and start its ascent again. IMO

Jgcw if you held you would be focused on things other then stupid comments , get a grip many have a lot of their money invested here and have to consider their options carefully. I for one am not panic selling and will wait until the dust settles
The company is cash rich and as per govt doc issued yesterday private sales will exceed the capacity that British companies can produce , so regardless of where folks are invested the diagnostic markets will continue to grow.

I'm hear Truimph and bloody shocked got a lot of hard earned savings invested hear and I was under the firm belief that anything regarding a contract which would have a material impact on the share price had to be reported. It would appear that perhaps this has not happened. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. K
