Think it is because nothing to write home about in the resolutions.

I invest because I believe in the potential , why do those who are so negative choose to invest ? The stock answer is I was spiked. But digging deeper what attracted all these naysayers to invest ?
I spend months researching before I put my hard earned cash anywhere.

Against a backdrop of the WHO asking countries to commit to no booster jabs until after year end to facilitate global roll out to third world countries I read this from Savid Javid. Regardless of ones stance for vaccinating children to me this a step too far.

I think Covid is more frightening as it takes no prisoners. I have no recollection of swathes of medical staff dying of flu , it being an all year thing , there being different variants that could spread country to country week in week out and that is before we begin to consider long covid. I have never heard of long flu clinics. Both kill but are not imo comparable. There has never had to be consideration about vaccinating whole populations across all age groups,; nor lockdowns in my lifetime because of flu. I do think lessons have been learnt about preventative measures re respiratory disease spread with mask wearing and ventilation and I cannot begin to understand why it has not remained mandatory throughout the forthcoming winter to try and minimise as much as possible any extra strain on the NHS. I would take my chances with flu anyday over covid.

I don't want a war but "best in class" that phrase CANNOT be used it is throw away. Deliver something first , something outstanding and then use that terminology, until then it is foolish.

I concur too. The way I see it talking UK only is that the govt is hellbent on keeping the economy ticking over and trying to avoid increasing the massive debt burden our children will shoulder. To try and avoid lockdown it is crucial to monitor variants , hence pcr confirmation of positive LFT'S. Also continued PCR for travellers from those countries considered high risk. This will only increase as we enter Autumn , flu , RSV or covid with a creaking exhausted NHS trying desperately to reduce waiting lists which increase almost daily. Debate continues over who should be given boosters but imo it is already too late as schools returning now and no rollout has commenced , the delays to availability of flu vaccine will not help either. I have tried to establish efficacy of diff vaccines and for a period it appeared AstraZeneca was bottom of the pile , that now appears to have changed and though lower initial efficacy it seems that over a period of time that Pfizer wanes faster if that's the right phraseology.
All the dates re covid finished by 2022 and covid stocks being high risk has in my imo diminshed. I am convinced from what I read , hear , watch , that testing is with us for many years and that decentralised diagnostic testing will increase at a rapid pace. All only IMO but I will just sit and watch my investment grow.
