I think AIM is stuck on the rinse and repeat cycle , whereas the rest of us have progressed to the tumble dry cycle , things certainly heating up , of course testing is the precursor to any vaccine 'tweaks' and new therapeutics.

Africa is a very poor example and the average life expectancy has increased so dramatically in the past 20 years with the onset of testing and then treatment for HIV.

To ascertain the treatment you need to establish the illness , this is done via a test , be it cancer , tuberculosis or covid. Don't be silly .

It doesn't take a lot to get to the crux. Think of China as an incubator. Hundreds of millions of people with little or no immunity. The more cases = more chance of multiple new variants.
Just like when covid hit Africa = new variant , India = new variant , even the UK = new variant.
Testing is essential to pick up any new variants to try and make vaccines and therapeutics that are effective against new strains. We now without doubt have more vaccine hesitancy which ultimately will lead to a greater % of the population experiencing more severe symptoms. Testing isn't to enable further lockdowns? but if a virulent new strain is discovered it makes sense to be aware and perhaps reintroduce masks and mandatory isolation until symptoms clear. Not rocket science and the lack of data from China means many countries are taking action to try and mitigate another full scale tsunami of bloody covid 19.
Novacyt have tests for NPT , remote testing , large scale lab testing , so of course the sp is going to rise just like in 2020. Nobody knows what will happen , but some new faces here spouting b/s.

I think quite simply what will be gained is genomic sequencing , Chinese not forthcoming with any data. Only then can it be established if anything sinister is brewing with such high numbers of positive cases. Testing allows this to happen and affords the scientists / hospitals with an opportunity to try and respond with the right treatment or vaccine for those who wish to take.
There is huge uncertainty as to what happens next , hence the huge rise in sp. The situation will remain this way until there is a clear picture of what variants are causing the outbreaks in China and if this results in new mutations. I don't know nor does anyone. Is it a blip on the road to 'living with Covid ' or is it a bloody disaster unfolding. The huge N.Y Chinese celebrations end of Jan will certainly not help curtail the spread in a country with low immunity to any variant and supposedly poor vaccines and definitely sub standard tests. Note 50 % of Chinese arriving in Italy tested positive.

And the post is correct , they were not in a position to tender in 2018 , but the relevance of that escapes me moving forwards. They were in a position to tender for a 1.6 billion contract in 2022 and have been successful in winning a huge chunk of it.
I have no doubt the board will work their butt's off to meet the LTIP targets , if they achieve them , they become very wealthy individuals. The time to be very careful with this investment is after the LTIP is awarded , the incentive to continue driving the business forward at pace may not be as intense IMO , and written simply because I've seen it happen.

Who is pumping ? The situation in China is dire , the USA , India , Japan , Italy have already reinstated negative Covid tests for travellers from China. The UK makes a decision on restrictions Thursday. China are providing no data , no genomic surveillance for new variants , no pump , crap situation AGAIN.

Flitted across my mind Naewise but who knows, it is pure guesswork. Could be he arrived prior to commencement of said 'shenanigans ' and once they started he was surplus to requirements and was controlled. No idea , either that or he was bloody useless.

As I said , they either gave it away or an acquisition took place or there is some form of partnership, or it it the start of them acquiring more then just Microgen , take your pick. As ever we have not been told. Anyone else who thinks they know then please post your thoughts because it is as clear as mud to me.
