For anyone remotely interested, at Iossc companies house, dated 26/01/2015 under filings.. it gives a full list of all shareholder's (page 21 onwards). Nobody at that stage held individually substantial amounts and looks like mainly all Pi's. As the company had been owned by one family for many years I expected to see some big holders.

Not that relevant, I only looked because one can pick off a few larger shareholder's to get a foot on the board usually... however I think I read somewhere that the IOSSC has to approve purchases.

Broomtree, the fact Cory barges have awarded us a third contract is evidence that they have no issues whatsoever with the delivery rate and indeed it must be dictated by them . A constant flow of barges is a nice stream of money and as JW stated the manufacturing of all components and then assembly, speeds up the process. I believe he was correct and that is why we now are seeing a faster throughput.

Obviously watching closely and gut reaction to becoming ferry operators is I'm not enamoured with the concept. The potential pitfalls are numerous, with the rough seas , shallow waters around the islands ( dictates build design) limited accommodation & infrastructure on Scilly to facilitate large growth of passengers, Harls lack of experience running such a service and the dependency on weather suitable to operate. To name a few.

Personally be far happier knocking out green tugs, battery operated thingymajigs and aluminium showstoppers.

But then I'm not the CEO and he has navigated us thus far ...to the position of having the potential to become a very lucrative company from a shareholders perspective.

IOSSC have been posting about bookings up 50 % ( last week ), with this weeks offering suggesting the opposite.. 15 % discount on 2024 bookings.

I don't know about an abrupt end, I think in many ways accurate but doesn't address the issue that the IOSSG face. If Harl put a ferry on the route then any reduction in their current monopoly make servicing the new debt impossible.
