Be aware it is irrelevant to a large degree what funds they raise. The cause is fully supported by FOE & their ability to progress this through the legal system is not dependent on rallying troops to bake, knit , blow bubbles.

Now why they elect to do so is a mystery. According to Consuela the Marine licence is irrelevant as there exist ' many enablers' for which permission will never be granted.

Consuela never provides a list of these supposedly impossible 'enablers' instead reverts to calling all holders fools, do your own research etc.

The whole saga has dragged on for years and if the appeal is again won by Harl ( which I believe will happen) it would be somewhat alarming if JW doesn't move rapidly to secure at least a partial sale to pay down the mounting debt.

Time will tell. We are a million miles away from being able to self finance and if a sizeable amt could be raised, it is the only logical thing to do. I think it would be extremely difficult to get any support for a raise whilst supposedly sitting on a treasure chest of undetermined value. Time for games of snakes and ladders drawing to a close.

Right now we are told that there are interested parties , we have no idea of sums involved and no idea if any deals will be concluded successfully.

I've taken more and will hold as an investment. One of the future stars of aim imo.

The whole idea was to utilise the LUF Broomntree , so they went 'rouge ' well before they announced their plans. Probably in the process benefitting tremendously from 'others 'design plans. Pretty poor show imo.

The Steamship company were indeed in a room with the council for years, leading them up the garden path, pretending they were going to utilise the LUF whilst arranging private funding to keep the monopoly. Its not naivety Broomtree , I find it impossible to believe that the IOSSG can through their actions make the IosCC and residents lose the LUF and tie the islanders into years of inflated fares.

If it wasn't for the consideration that this was probably 20 % of 2024 numbers, I wouldn't even bother reading about it.

The reality is imo that if the MOT wanted to award the LUF they could. They are rolling over to the IOSSG and allowing the monopoly.

I'm suprised the CMA don't say you have to award it, but it's not an org I'm overly familiar with. It's a lifeline service , passengers charged extortionate rates , whilst shareholders get dividends.

Twas casting an eye over the last few years Sciilly steamship accounts. Imo a p take , from what I can see half their accumulated cash balance was given ( about 4.6mm ) from govt , covid grants , in the interim they are busy dishing out divs this year. Going to be a huge wake up call when they have to repay commercial loans , don't think shareholders will see many divs for a while.
