Hi Dawski, as the deadline for any formal offer is 5pm today Thursday 21.12.2023, I don't necessarily expect the RNS machine to be cranked up yet. Maybe a 6pm RNS , maybe 7.am 22.12.2023 .

If an RNS with a formal bid is released, there is no guarentee it will be accepted. If no formal bid, there is also no guarantee that JW won't still pursue the LUF funding via other avenues. The ball is in Jw's court right now, let's see what he serves. Once the Steamship group are in receipt of the 'news'

It becomes a waiting game.. will they sign the dotted line if no bid . Maybe 'we have decided the interests of H&W are best served by not pursuing the purchase of.... and we will instead pursue our plans to purchase x ferry '

What if after 5 years we didn't want to continue, who would purchase the assets we had bought. A new operator would not be obliged to, happy to be corrected if I am viewing this too simplistically or am missing something fundamental.

The Steamship group are proposing a 33.6 mm commercial loan, the cost for the planned build is 42mm , some reports say for two vessels , others say for three ??

Now the Steamship company tried to get the portion over and above the 33.6mm from the LUF. They were refused and therefore this reduces their cash balance substantially. We already know the ferry subsidises the airline.

Any reduction in ferry travel whilst trying to pay down the loan and they will rapidly run into issues. Any additional costs by Pirou and again issues.

Re alternative bidders,

If they aren't building it, I can't see the profit being sufficient to warrant the risk.

Was looking at various inter Island ferries and talk of Condor going into admin today ( Channel Islands) and Orkney ferries reliant on grants. Can't see a major ferry operator being interested. Again could be wrong.

I thought only Cammel Laird and H&W had expressed any interest.

Re impact on FSS , I have no idea but hear you. One would definitely

like to think that JW wouldn't be foolish enough to do anything in anyway to jeopardise our biggest contract by a mile. Personally don't believe he would even entertain doing so, he knows that the 'eyes ' have it, firmly in their line of vision.

The court case Is within six months and therefore we are approaching/ in the time period whereby they could settle out of court.

The acquisition of YGEN opens the door to a fairly rapid upward trajectory if Ranger rollout continues apace. I don't understand why you suddenly are so agitated right now. Nothing new has happened, bar the realisation that you may have missed the opportunity to average down( at the bottom) , if that's what you want to do.

However you surely have some self awareness, the amt you've invested is more than many would earn pretax in 15 years. Therefore the very muted sympathy from other posters.

What 99 % of holders are focused on is the court case and potential growth. Many shareholders put x amt in, which equates to a large proportion of their savings, they have either sold , averaged down , bought low initially blah blah. They do not post repeatedly in such a fashion. To one man/ women 10k or 20k is equivalent to your 600k ,it may have taken them many years to save.

I understand that you are stressed, I merely pointed out why you get the sort of responses that you do.

Make a decision as to how you wish to proceed and then walk away and focus on other stuff.

A healthy bulletin board needs to consider all possibilities.

This board is dominated by one who could have sold at breakeven or close to , on several occasions and another who wants the share price at 35p to average down or a contract to happen that will miraculously take the SP to £6.10 ....imo neither are happening in the near foreseeable future. Nor is a cap of rising 10 or 20p realistic if the case is won. It will rise substantially more than that, otherwise everyone would sell up now and invest elsewhere. One could stick it in RR and practically guarentee a great deal more than that !

I remain because of potential and the DHSC , win that and no issue finding the right calibre of CEO.

The constant repetitive whining is more than wearisome to put it mildly. Never any research , just very active if any potential rally in sight.
