Not really, most posters who see the possible upside point out that the global economy can't sustain long term sanctions against a country as big as Russia, and ultimately the money people will have their way, maybe not super quick, but eventually.

The average politician (not all) is a lying self serving whats-true-today-is-lies-tomorrow-truth-twister, just like the media they will be pushing a short or long term agenda. I remember the housing crash, almost every media outlet was shouting "Another great depression on the way", then very early on, pretty much overnight, recession was being used instead and depression wasn't even mentioned again, and not because things got bett because they where getting worse. The question, which is hard to guess, is what's the agenda, suspension, whipping post, or mindless rhetoric. Roll on investors day, hopefully get a better idea of what PollyBoard have in mind for the future.

Can't read it sadly not a been a subscriber for a long time, love the headline, 'Anger Growing', that's a sure sign they're trying to influence, vast majority of people don't give a s#*# about the company. As far as I'm aware, suspending the share or delisting it won't stop Poly selling gold and silver, so it's a straw man argument, possibly more sour grapes via the big investors or a distraction piece, JRS have a LOT of money in Russian stocks, never seen it mentioned. Question is, what will happen now? Will the LSE give in to pressure, CAN they suspend the shares when the majority owner isn't sanctioned? I don't mind if the share is suspended, it locks in the price, and despite dire warnings elsewhere, it's obvious the West wants and needs to get back to business, there are already riots in some countries because of wheat shortages, Liz Truss has said she will look at lifting Sanctions soon after a cessation of hostilities, Joe Biden has offered Zalensky authorisation to use sanctions as a bargaining chip. Yea same for me, still in profit but much reduced, but I'm not selling, no skill to trade so holding on and seeing it through to standing on the window ledge (joking) or a nice £5k - £9k dividend (holding JPM and a tiny bit of EVA) on top of a big capital gain, in an ISA. Must say I'm jealous of whoever it is having their fried fish and sun, and even moreso peeps buying more today than my entire holding!!! @_@ GL whichever way your playing it.

@Redmoor, that's not the analogy, the Southern districts of Ukraine have been fighting in one way or another (not all citizens but a majority) for independence from Ukraine for decades, they might have had a change of heart given the way they've been treated, but it will still possibly be down to a 'vote' or brokered deal post ceasefire, so not necessarily going on indefinitely.
