I agree she is another Boris choose-loyalty-over-basic-competence minister, but the way she and Wallace talk, you would think they owned NATO, you only have to see how Boris and others are largely ignored in EU / US and other meetings to see the picture, they're big in the UK but not all that, NATO will go with their own agenda. Good point that they are both loose cannons though. On the other side, Russia starts shouting nuclear power whenever they get threatened, it's nothing new, and they've been shouting it since Crimea (and before) it just doesn't get reported. Not discounting the threat though, Putin needs a way out, and if the likes of Truss ramp up the hard line enough he may go pants on head and go out in a blaze of glory, politicians especially it seems, never learn from history. Right got that off my chest :D time to go to work. Have a good non-nuclear day y'all.

Hi group. Have a question, I've tried Googling it but got conflicting information. When the ex div date arrives, thanks to whoever it was that pointed out the dividend is delayed not necessarily cancelled, is the payment in cash or shares set at that point, or can I change it later?

CWWX & Newdealz, you referring to me? I haven't filtered you why would I? I was following up on your post about too much rubbish being posted. And it's time, energy and information, I don't have time or desire to be drawn into other people's s#@#, trolls rob your energy, and there's great info on this board, I'm filtering out the unnecessary. I liked the chart post, didn't understand it mind you :D

There's a popular misconception that free speech is a good thing, first of all there is no such thing as free speech it's an illusion, but it's something that's pushed by media because they WANT people in conflict, conflict causes people to pay attention and attention is what drives advertising revenue, which is why many media outlets will not filter or restrict, nothing to do with free speech. I have 102 names on my filter list and the information I get from the board is still pretty consistent and useful, thank you decent posters. People don't like to filter, one because they are told it's bad to do so, and two because of fear of they might miss something, oh and three of course some people like having a good argument even if it gets in the way of others needs. I don't just filter all negative comments, I filter nonsense and off-topic consistent posters and of course the trolls, who cannot stop posting rubbish it's a compulsion, it means I have a lot of green on the board but a more peaceful mind. FILTER = CALM :D

Ah well, he suggested buying two and a half thousand quids worth in amongst other safer investments, and has resisted buying more. The extra 25 grands worth of shares in this, Polly etcI have bought on my own in two ISA's, he's going to have kittens when he sees I've bought 7 grands worth of Poly shares in the ISA within 'our' account :D

Yea am hand sitting on these, was my FA that out me onto them and started my interest in Poly and Evraz, (he had kittens and said don't buy Poly too much risk) there's a few 'if's', but as you say peace will improve the shares, hopefully, but if and when Putin goes, FA is saying the natural successor is more Western looking, and that will help open up the true value of Rus shares, possible upside on the upside can't be a bad thing. All just opinion tho.

Oh hi CWWX, Poly is my main holding but got 5000 of these at about 1.29 Ditto holding hoping Russ economy will pick back up in a year or two and return much multiples and dividends.
